I believe the Chevy Vega sedan (later called 'Notchback') was influenced by this car. Check out the shape of the rear quarter window and simulated louvers in the bottom corner, and the rounded corners of the top of the windshield moldings.

Fiat 124 Coupe; one of the prettier little mass produced coupes ever. A friend's mother had a 124 sedan in the late sixties and it seemed incredibly exotic in rural Australia. I have this vague recollection that it had a small reserve fuel tank or a warning light that the tank was about to run dry; an extraordinary innovation at the time!
It wasn't a reserve tank, just a small red light in the fuel gauge that came on when the tank was low, my 124 Sport Spider (a mechanical twin of the Coupe) had this feature and it probably saved me from several long walks as I've run out of gas in every car I've owned with no low fuel warning light.
The ponton is impossible to identify exactly, but it is definitely a 6 cylinder car, a 220/220S/220SE. There were two platforms (W numbers - W128 W180) for the identically bodied 6 cylinder cars, so that much can't be seen here.
There's also a low grille 280SE (W111) cabrio to the left, and a likely 70s era R107 SL at far left.
Car to the right of the RX7 looks like an Opel Manta GTE
The notch back versions were much less common than the Monza hatchbacks. I don't think there was much mechanical commonality between the Opels and the Vega-based Chevy Monzas.

Sorry Stickguy, the famous Flatiron Building is located several blocks to the South and east of Greeley Square at the intersection of W23rd and Fifth Avenue. Greeley Square is at 33rd and Sixth Ave. It is misnamed in that it is actually a triangle formed by the Diagonal intersection of Broadway and the other two.
Broadway, W23 and Fifth form another triangle on which the Flatiron building is located.
There's a Buick version of that car still on the road in daily service in my neighborhood, I see it a few times a week. It's not mint but it's all there - makes me appreciate the climate here.
I looked at a V* monza hatch when I was in HW or early college (probably HS). the mechanic who looked it over said it seemed OK, but asked that it not be brought to him to work on, not a good sign. I do recall that to get to the rear plugs you had to unbolt the engine and jack it up.
Cool car for the time though. Stickshift of course.
I had two high school friends who got them ('75's) as new cars. Cool looking at the time I thought, and neat to hear V8 sounds emanating from a car that small. The one guy still has his...bright red with light beige interior. The other was orange with brown cloth inside, but I'm sure that car has long since been crushed...the difference in 'car thinking', and thus, maintenance, between the two guys was night-and-day.

The brown car is a Monte Carlo (75?). The Explorer is one of the early ones and an Eddie Bauer edition. I swear 80% of the early Explorers were that teal color.
More R129 300SL seem to be monotone than 500SL, but the 6cyl model was often two tone as well. The monotone has certainly aged better. Cool thing about the 300SL is that it could also be ordered with a 5-speed, even in NA.

It was still the Rambler American at that time. The other Rambler lines that year were the Classic and the Ambassador. Oh, and the Marlin (but the less said about that the better).

Exactamente! Candango was the term for the workers who built Brasilia around the same time (late 50s-early 60s)

snazzy green late 70's gen 1 RX-7 next to an MGB coupe. A big Healey next to a pink Bug. Down the row a bit a '67 Mustang.

The orange car next to the RX-7 doesn't look like an MG to me, it's probably a Vauxhall/Opel (are those German plates?)
I don't think that's a Mustang, it looks more like a Euro Ford of some kind, possibly a Capri.

I'm sure the orange car is an Opel. All cars in the shot have German plates.

Benz SL, were the two-tone ones the higher end models? Ford Explorer behind it, Nissan Pathfinder behind that.
Acura Legend, sedan since it seems upright? Followed by a Pontiac Trans Am.
