I had a 62 Fairlane. It used to be white but I had it repainted bright red to match the red interior. Dad bought it at a local shop who had picked it up because it had been hit in the rear. So he repainted it as he repaired it.
Good guesses. The wagon behind the Falcon is hard to make out, could be almost anything. I looks a little like it could be a '60-'61 Valiant or Lancer.
The two-tone H/T is either a 55 or '56 Ford Fairlane Victoria. Frankly I don't know how to tell which year.
I'm surprised no one has called the cars direct in front of and behind the Corvette.
You're off by just a year on both. Those steam iron-shaped taillights were a very distinctive feature of 1953 Mercurys, not '54s. I have trouble remembering which is which too.
There isn't much of that Caddy to work with but it has rounded fender tops denoting a 1960 model. The 61s had a more distinct crease IIRC.
No one has mentioned the '53 or '54 Buick in front of the Vic. I can't make out what that is in front of the Buick. :confuse:
Darn. I looked at the front fender of the Caddy and decided it had the more creased look of the '61 and '62 models. Oh well, can't win them all. Good catch on the Mercury.

If my information is correct, this car was sold as a 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II. It was the first RX-7 to have a Turbocharger but the "II" is for the twin-scroll turbo. :confuse:
Lancia B 50 Cabriolet with a Pininfarina body, probably from around '50, or '51.
Exactly, you know your Lancias. The Aurelias were very sophisticated designs featuring the first production V6 motors and rear-mounted transaxles. According to Jay Leno, the pre-Fiat Lancias were beautifully built.
Volvo 300 series (probably 340) from late 1970's. They were an orphan child, the product of DAF in Holland which was acquired by Volvo. I think they ran for about 15 years from 1976-91.
There is some way to tell the model years apart. As this has no reversing lights and unpleasant brown shade, I presume pretty early in model cycle.
They were a rear wheel drive hatchback and later sedan, made, I think, in Holland. The gearbox was mounted to the rear axle. I think that a CVT was available, DAF being the first manufacturer to adopt this. I have a vague recollection that the engine was French, possibly from Renault.
There is a faint hint of British Leyland about their body design which was, I think, by Michelotti
A colleague had one of the last which I drove in the early 1990's in England but it has left absolutely no impression on me.
I think it's a '46 or '47 Buick Special, but you'll have to call Juneau Taxi Service to confirm! We were on a trip to Alaska and in Juneau I kept seeing this taxi all over town. I finally managed to get this pic on the 3rd sighting, and at the time I couldn't figure it out. I really don't remember seeing any of this particular model Buick rolling around when I was a kid, but as a tour taxi this is great!
I used to watch this cartoon as a kid and just laugh at its cheesiness. This was right up there with M.A.S.K. (thank god they haven't made the movie for it). What is next Go-Bots? Anyway... what is the Car?
Go-Bots - from GoBotron! Seeing as the Transformers movies are more or less GM commercials, maybe a GoBots movie could be an ad for Korean or Chinese cars :shades:
YEah, has teh look of a 59 Monterey but maybe a bit of the cheaper Ford in it? I remember being in Ontario maybe 10 year ago and seeing this Pontiac Tempest. It was no such thing it was a Chevy Corsair in a little bit of Pontiac skin.
2015 Mazda 6 Grand Touring, 2014 Mazda 3 Sport Hatchback, 1999 Mazda Miata 2004 Toyota Camry LE, 1999.
Ah, the Edsel! I saw some pix the other day of what Packard had planned for 57 before they were forced to merge and put out the Packardbaker. They would have had the horse collar front end too. Some car design articles say that look was meant to imitate a woman's - well, you know.

Yeah but it's overengineered and has a teutonic soul so it's clearly worth every penny. :P
Service is free for the 1st four years, to offset some of that extra cost.
The iDrive interface you use to install and configure it is a real bear! And I hear the run-flat wheel is easily damaged.
I think it was a 2-door and it had a 260 V8.

Yup, it's a '66, they are sometimes called 330GTEs or 330GT 2+2s.

on the other side, a Jeep woody wagon of some sort.
and way up at the front of that row, an early 60's Falcon?

The Willys All-Steel Wagon as the name suggests was a fake woody and not sold under the Jeep name in most markets.
Nice eye on the Falcon. There are several more identifiable cars in that shot, anyone?

Didn't want to be greedy (yeah, right). The car in front of the Corvette is a Mercury, '54 I think, and the one behind is an early '60s Caddy ('61?)

Don't remember if they had any specific nomenclature... unless it was GT.. The old one use GSE for the top of the line model, but no turbo then...

Written, directed and dumped on by Michael Bay
Sounds like maybe it went straight on to video, and the director trashed it in the media, before they had a chance to release it.

2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
The pictured car is similar to the '59 Mercury Monterey I learned to drive on (what a pig!). It's a 1959 Monarch Lucerne.

Yeah, the '60 Mercury was one odd looking duck. Odd looking from the front, anyway. From the back it was just fugly.
