If I was transported back to ~1953 and stuck there, I think I'd be eagerly awaiting time to pass so it could be 1955-57.

I think the stake truck is a ~1950 Dodge.

I'll grab the 52-53 Ford over the "L" in Continental" and the 49-50 Ford in the foreground at right.

    Is that the new Pathfinder?

If so, it's way better looking than the Infiniti version...

I'll go with that closest Olds being a 52 because of the 3 verticals on the front grille.

I do believe you are right - it's a '52 Olds. I'll stick with '51 for the one across the street...

Some kind of Lancia, no doubt a Pininfarina body.

Well its styling came from the same house as Columbo's Peugeot 403 but otherwise wrong maker, wrong nationality and wrong decade. Does that help?

Now you're getting warm. The grille is the giveaway that it's a Lancia and the side flash on the lower fender tells us it's from PF.

    Anyone got make/ model/year (appx.)?

I think it is a Lancia Appia Coupe, with a body by Pininfarina (late 1950's). Like most of Pininfarina's designs from that era, they are very pretty.

The roof line is disconcerting as it looks almost like a convertible, because of the wrap around rear window,

They were sort of the equivalent of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

Could I please have one in my Christmas stocking?

    Thank

    Graham

That new Nissan SUV is handsome IMHO--actually has integrated styling IMHO, unlike the original Pathfinder that had random lumps here and there over the body.

    Lancia Appia Coupe,

You're the winner Graham, it's a 1957-ish Appia Coupe Pininfarina. Other coachbuilders like Allemano and Zagato built more aggressive bodies on the Appia.

Well, let's see .. it says "Dodge" on the grille and "Dart" on the front fender.

So, I'm guessing it's a Dodge Dart, early to mid 60's vintage.

    Love the dog dish hubcaps.

When I was in HS (back in the early 80's), I almost bought a coupe version of this car.

I think it might have been a '63, with the slant 6 and push button automatic transmission. Was a not-so-great shade of brown (probably repainted) with a checkered pattern cloth interior.

Not exactly sure why I didn't get it, but I'm sure my folks had something to do with the decision.

I coulda been a Mopar fan for life if I had bought it!

    Yup, it's a '64 Dodge Dart GT, there's probably a 273 under that hood.

Hideous styling on that '58 Stude. My father would roll over in his grave. Oh, wait, he was alive then! He left Packard in 1956 and never looked back. He was fair-minded though, and helped me buy a '55 Studebaker President hardtop for my very first car, some years later. That year was a pretty car.

The car in the foreground is an Audi 100 - probably an L or LS - this is the original 100, model C1 - which was current 1968-mid seventies.
The car beyond it is a Ford Taunus - either a 17M or 20M, from the P7 range - which was current from 1967-71. My guess is this is a 20M, but it could be either, and they had a facelift as well as there are P7a and P7b ranges. The tail of the car to the left looks like it might be another Taunus of the same range, I think, as well.

    Who designed the body?

I had to look it up, Carrozzeria Marazzi, run by Mario Marrazzi an ex-designer for Touring which went bankrupt. CM are still around

The Islero was basically a rebodied Lambo P400 (a somewhat ugly car IMO).

I also saw the car that came before - every piece of glass is curved

Yup that's the Lamborghini 400GT on which the
Islero was based. Incidentally I mistakenly called it a P400 before, that's incorrect. The P400 was the Miura (P=posteriereas in back).

I've never been a fan of the styling of the Lambo 350 or 400GT but they certainly had more character than the Islero which now seems rather bland for a V12 performance car.

I think that tyre is flat

Whilst it looks like a Jaguar, it is actually a 1950's Lagonda with an Aston Martin engine (from the period when Lagonda was owned by David Brown). The body looks like a Tickford design. British Racing Green is definitely the right colour for the period.

    A golden age!

Blimey! You're fast and 100% right, it's a 1954 Lagonda 3 Litre, body by Tickford.
