It looks out of place here but is the little sports car on the left an Elva?
I don't think so, it seems too small and low, I thought it might be a Jaguar C-Type but the air intake is the wrong shape. I think it's a sports-racer rather than a production sports car, perhaps a Lister.
There are plenty of easily identified productions sports in the picture so let's start hearing them... Going..going...!
Yes, there is a resemblance to a Maserati 200 or 250S but unless I'm mistaken that is a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, the car that did more than any other to establish the racing legend of the Ferrari name.
Not all 250 TRs had the cut-out behind the front wheels, many looked much like the car shown wearing American racing blue and white. Many of the "Red Heads" wore different bodies in the course of their lives.
Perish the thought, for some of us the convertible is the only Mustang worth having. I'm not sure if the photo is a photoshop or an actual shot of the ragtop version 2015 'Stang.. The fastback is being revealed at the LA Auto show this week
It is genuinely pretty and for the first time, will be produced as a Right Hand Drive, making it registerable in Australia. Prior generations have had to be converted, often quite badly.
Perversely, much of Australia is too hot for a convertible in summer. Still, I was looking at one this morning and wondering...
The upkick at the C-pillar is a fad right now, and as most designers (in many fields) are copycat sycophants, there you go.
You can say that again, it's a variation on the "Hoffmeister Kink" pioneered by BMW in the early 60s. All of a sudden in the '00s everyone from Hyundai to Honda has decided to copy it. I don't think it works well on the new Mustang which looks rather generic from the side without the old c-window shape and no side scoop behind the door. It could be a Tiburon.

Bingo and it's true in so many things in life. Lack of creativity - just watch prime time TV or go to the movies these days.
Andys - I'm with you on the coupe rear windows. They'd have been better off just eliminating them and going for the early Mustang fastback look. But it's not ugly and priced attractively, this car can probably be a mover (but pricing aggressively is no longer in Ford's playbook so we'll see how it does).
It's so bad now, even MB did it a little with the C-coupe (thankfully on nothing else yet). When someone who has very little history of derivative styling jumps on a trend, one knows the industry itself is in it.

I thought it could it be a prelude....to the Prelude! (ahem)

That house is still there!
I wonder if anyone can tell the make of the pickup on the right by the shape of the bed side flare?

Or, you could read the reverse lettering in the tailgate.
And the newest is the '58 Chevy on the left (that was easy).

I think that the one in centre of image might be a Maserati 200 but it seems larger than I would expect. Perspective on mouth looks wrong

For the time being it is the fastest road car on the planet. Nice pics at the link. Here's another:

Possibly ugly, but there is no doubt of its purpose

Styling cues say US Ford so I am hoping that it is the new Mustang which we will see in Australia in 2015 . however I thought it was hardtop only

Would make a nice donk

Maybe the Stingray cribbed the Accord:
Or was it the C coupe:
Pretty similar, all:
Only if Ford designers saw the finalized design of the C7 two years ago......
It's a pretty generic shape and size.

Just seen the release of a taster for the 2015 Mustang convertible in Sydney at same time as Barcelona and USA

You don't think Ford saw the C7 the same time the rest of us did, do you?
