lease agreement specifies that we MUST have the dealer maintain (their) car... so we cannot perform any maintenance ourself or through independent mechanics etc.. 
and from what ive heard simple oil changes and tire rotations can get up to $600 there!!

No not for basic maintenance I.e oil change.. but it is nice too that they will actually pick up the car from your house instead of having to drive down there

Oh... I missed the part where you paid for a maintenance package. Of course, you'd have to have the maintenance done at the dealer, if that's who you paid for the maintenance package.

I'm within a couple dollars of that quote.

Why roll in the registration fee to the cap cost? That's a non-taxable fee, and you're paying tax on it that way.
