It's a good deal, but I'd rather just pay the first payment at lease signing, and take the $100/mo. higher payment.

Thanks for your reply! I'll keep it in mind to spread out all the down payment next time. I came in thinking my relative wanted to pay around 140, but we started at 130 and stood our ground. In the end thats what they wanted due at signing.

Thank you for all the valuable information. Based on your experience in previous years, how does it change in the new year? Do they continue to lease previous year's vehicle?

They already had almost $3K rebates for instance for Rouge in December and almost 0% MF before the new year.
Logically they have to decrease the RV values which makes leasing harder. Do they try to sell the vehicle instead or does dealer offer even deeper discounts, or does Nissan offer even higher incentives to dealers for these vehicles?

Do you know how will it usually work for 2017 vehicles in January?

It depends on how much inventory there is. At some point, Nissan will stop supporting leases on the 2017.

Nobody knows when that will be, however.

Yes, residuals will only get lower, going forward. But, no predictions on what will happen on Wednesday.

The residual is a percentage of MSRP.

So, it might still be worth more as a residual amount, but not as a percentage of MSRP. Those $5000 of options don't hold their value, very well.

That is correct - rebate and 0% financing are mutually exclusive. You'd have to run the payments both ways to see which way makes the most sense to you.

Update...Just signed for a 12k 36 month lease. MSRP $27,289
amount at signing $1,709= $1,500 down and first payment monthly payment of $209 I’m very happy with my deal

Just to give you all an update, 2 weeks ago we signed a deal on a 2017 AWD SV w/ Premium package with 15k per year for 36 months with $0 down, $0 first month, taxes and fees rolled in for $292 a month. Thank you!

I don't know the difference in price between those two trims, but with the much higher percentage residual, the SV might lease just as well.

Hi there, I'm new to leasing and was told by my local dealer that they aren't doing leases on 2017 Nissan Rogues anymore. Is this total BS? If the dealer isn't willing to do the lease, are there alternative options such as getting a lease from my local credit union?

If Nissan isn't offering an incentivized program (and, it doesn't look as though they are), then you aren't going to be able to affordably lease it through an independent bank, either. If the dealer could lease you the car at a reasonable payment, they certainly would.

It's a good 7 months after the 2018 models came out. At some point, they have to stop leasing the prior model year.
