Same here, curious to see what Mazda does for May, local dealership had 9 2017 GTs in April, as of yesterday, 9 still in stock. Nice car, solid reviews, terrible financial tools prevented them from selling. 

Looking for May numbers when available, southern California, GT, 36 month, 15k miles. Thanks.

So it basically nets out on my lease offer, decreasing the MF but also decreasing the residual. Lowers the lease by $9/month and then raises it by 9$ per month, ironic.

Any other incentives this month? How does 24 months look? Thanks kyfdx.

To get that residual, the MSRP would have to be $27,635.
They are marking up the money factor the maximum for extra profit, and only giving you $500 off MSRP.

Adding the $595 acquisition fee to the sale price, I get $369/mo.+tax, that's using their marked-up money factor.
With the base MF, I get $347/mo.+tax

IMO, not a good deal, at all.

The tax rate is 7.25%. The 2,000 is just optional cash down i was considering putting up to get a lower monthly rate. They gave me $434 for $0 down and $404 for $1k down.

I've never leased (or even considered a lease) before, so I'm not sure if the Negotiated Price I gave you is right. They indicated a Total Purchase price ($31,123.90) and a "Net Price" which adds in an Admin Fee of $599, Tax $32.97 and Non-Tax Fees $72.00 for a total of $31,827.87. Thanks again!

We do not recommend putting money down on a lease - limit your out of pocket cash to just the first payment and any DMV costs.

Ask the dealer for the 'adjusted cap cost' - this will be the selling price plus the fees and such that are rolled in.

Also, there is an acquisition fee when you lease - add that to the payment, as well.

Hi, I Have negotiated a price of $27,750 for an AWD Touring with Preferred Package in Maryland. List was $29,135. Could you tell me what numbers I should be looking at for 36/12k with 0 down and MF .00084 and 62% residual. I'm coming up with $316 a month without tax and about $362 with tax rolled in. Tax is $1655 as MD apparently collects on the full purchase price. Do these sound about right?

To update. I've just gotten numbers back from the dealer who is quoting the money factor at .00134 and quoting a payment of $415 a month. The money factor alone wouldn't increase the payment that much, so not sure what else he's adding in there.

Any help on what I should be looking at would be much appreciated. With a sale price of $27,750, their $300 acquisition fee, and roughly $500 in title and document fees, and $1655 in tax I'm looking at $363 a month and about $850 due at signing by my calculations.

.00084 and 62%; MF is marked up the max allowed.

Ask the dealer for the "adjusted cap cost", and make sure you understand how they got to that number from your negotiated price. That will likely explain the difference in payments.

And, the acquisition fee is $595, not $300 (that could be the dealer fee).

Using the prices you've provided, I get $308/mo.

I'm going to be looking at a lease tomorrow for a 2017 CX-5 Sport FWD Automatic in Washington state for 36k/12mo. I've never leased a vehicle before but I'm trying to ensure that I get at the very least a fair lease deal from them. What values do I need to know to make this happen? The MF and the residual value of the vehicle?

The local dealership has the following on their website:

$249/Month, 36-Month Lease, $1,999 due at Lease Signing. Monthly payment includes $595 acquisition fee. No security deposit required. Excludes taxes, title and fees.

MSRP $24,045 plus $940 destination charge. Payment based on capitalized cost of $23,280. Total payments of $8,958. Dealer participation required. Not all lessees will qualify for lowest payment through participating lender. Some payments higher, some lower based on residency and other factors. Lessee responsible for excess wear and mileage over 36,000 at $0.15/mile. Purchase option at lease end for $15,741 plus tax or price negotiated at signing. Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 5/31/2017. See participating dealer for qualifications.

To me, $9k over 36 months sounds like a pretty good deal and I'm assuming that doesn't include the 9.5%-ish percent local tax rate in my area?

I've also heard of good lease deals being $125 or less per $10,000 worth of vehicle. If my math is right, the hidden cost of the down payment (which I intended to roll into the monthly payment and not put money down at all) plus the monthly costs per $10,000 is $133, which is considerably higher. Is this a valid tactic to talk them down with?

The true total cost of the lease is closer to $11k, due to the $1999 down payment. We don't recommend a down payment on a lease; that money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

You may be able to beat that lease offer, if you can negotiate a better selling price.

Your logic does not work for all vehicles- the CX-5 is brand new and fairly popular, so you may have to pay more on a lease.

If, however, you have an existing lease that expires then, I'd suggest you wait it out.
