What number did you use for the adjusted cap cost versus the number the dealer used? Bridge that gap and you'll likely understand the $400 difference.

In New York a mazada dealership gave a price of msrp 26485 cx-5 2017 AWd Mazda taxes and up front fees 2000.00 car note 337.31 don't sound like a good deal to me



anither dealership quote me 289 a month with 2200 with up front fees. I know these deals are bogus. I can haggle them

Hello. I finally bought my CX-5 2017 GT with premium package. I negototiated OTD as 32.5K and my final lease agreements has - 2K down, 379 per month for 12K/36 months.

After coming back home, I m confused as whether I got the price I negotiated or not. Agreement says - Gross cap as 34034, Net CAP as 32034 (-2000 down payment)

Itemization for gross cap reads - 33097 for agreed upon vehicle price, initial title - 342 and 595 as acquisition fee. My residual is 19942 and rent charge is 1571.

Do you think this was a good deal? Very concerned that instead of 32.5K otd, I ended up with 34034....am I missing something? Thanks for your help.

.00084 is the lowest MF for top tier credit. The dealer may attempt to mark it up for extra profit.
63% residual for 36/10.

Can't really help you with sale pricing, but if you negotiated $2000 off MSRP, and made just first payment and DMV fees at lease signing, the payment would be about $358/mo. for 36/10.

Lease contract line item for tax is marked as N/A, but the gross cap line reads that -" agreed upon value of vehicle is 33097 and any items you pay for over the lease term such as Taxes, fees, service contracts, insurance and any outstanding prior credit or lease balance"

i understand out the door as purchase + TTL + dealer acquisition fee. With that understanding, there number is off by ~1500. Thats what me and salesman agreed upon. 
If out the door excludes dealer acquisition fee and TTL, its still off by $500. Now that everything is signed, do I have any options left?

Yeah.. out the door seems clear to you and me, but they may have another definition.
I'd ask them how much of that deal is tax, and a breakdown of the $33097.

Just negotiated the following on a 2017 CX-5 FWD Grand Touring for 36 month/10K (in MO)

MSRP: $30,330
Cap cost: $29,718 (invoice)
Fees: $595 + $195
Residual: 63%
MF: 0.00084
$0 down

Monthly: $389 with taxes

Had hoped for a little lower price on the cost on Memorial Day, but overall can't complain. Not an extraordinary deal, but still decent.

Adjusted CAP has to be about $27,800 to get to that payment.
$900 CAP reduction out of the $3000 leaves $2100.
$300 first payment
$595 acquisition fee
$300 DMV/doc fees
$900 for tax?

Some estimation there, but it looks about right.
