Agreed, too high. Not sure if the tax is for the full MSRP or what. I got a premium/nav MSRP of $41,600, 12k, 18 months for a total of $5748 before tax or $319/month. Remove tax from your deal and tell us what it is. Not saying that can be matched but $480 is steep.
  • astuffastuff Member Posts: 8
Yeah, way too high. The national ad is $319 for a 12k mi/ yr lease. $1999 down, includes first payment. Many dealers here in CA are going for $279 or lower with minimum drive off.

Need some help on this one Car Man!

I came across this offer from a dealership:

    2012 Infiniti G37 Journey Sedan
    Premium Package and Navigation Package

    MSRP: $42,205
$1799 down (PLUS first month payment and Registration + License Fees)
$279 a month (tax free lease in Texas)

    18 month lease/10k miles.

    MF = .00001
    Residual = ??? I believe this would be 79% for a 10k lease or 77% for 12k? Please clarify.

The question is, would this be a good deal? I tried running it in a few lease calculators and the numbers just don't add up.

Net Cap cost $38,704 (including $700 acquisition fee).

From what I figured out, they are selling the car at $39,803 (Invoice 38,861 - $1,000 Lease cash) so about $1,942 over invoice after the dealer cash?

Overall it sounds like a good deal, but the numbers aren't adding up so I wanted your help to look it over.

Also, on top of the $1,000 lease cash. Edmunds shows another $1,000 for current Infiniti Owners. I have a 2004 Infiniti, so would I get another $1,000 as well since the website says it CAN be used on a lease as well?

    Thanks!!!

However, this is for the G25, not a G37...

Also why are you guys putting down 5K on a lease ??? This defeats the purpose of a lease.
  • astuffastuff Member Posts: 8
The Infiniti website I'm looking at shows $289 for the G25, $319 for the G37 and $329 for the G37x. Dealers are reducing it lower than that.

I agree no one should put $5k down on a lease. That's the whole depreciation.

    Car Man,

I'm just wondering if you have seen the August lease rates and incentives yet? If so, could you please send me the money factor, residual, and any incentives for a 24 month/15,000 miles per year lease on a 2012 G37x Coupe with Sport, Nav., and Premium pkgs.? Is the 24 month lease still the best way to go?

As always, your help is very much appreciated!!
  • suicidysuicidy Member Posts: 7
Just received a quote on the G37x with Premium package. The data is incomplete, so I will refrain from posting it until they fill in the blanks. However, they listed the MF as .00028. Have MF's changed on any G37 models for August? This doesn't seem right.

can you share miles monthly, down payment, monthly cost, and MSRP??

Anybody got a good 18 mons leasing deal on G37 sedan in TX? It looks like they have sales tax credit special now. MF and residual value are same as July. Targeting monthly payment between $300 and $350 with $0 out of pocket (15K miles per year). Is it reasonable? :confuse:

Hi, I was hoping to get some feedback on these lease offer. I'm in Dallas. For a G37 Sport, I was quoted MSRP of $43,805; Initial Cap cost of $39,656 and Adjusted cap cost of $40,581.70.

For a 39 month lease, I was quoted $55% residual value ($24,092.75), Money factor of 0.00013. Amount due at start is $698.85 and total monthly payment of $438.16.

For 18 month lease, I was quoted 75% residual value ($32,853.75), money factor of 0.00001. Amount due at start is $705.76 and total monthly payment of $445.07.

Please let me know if I left anything out. Thanks!

    HELLO ,

THIS IS MY FORST TIME ON THIS PAGE, IT LOOKS VERY INTERESTING, SO THANK YOU, FOR ALL YOUR POSTS. I AM LOOKING TO LEASE THE G37 JOURNEY, I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP MY PAYMENTS AROUND $300.00 ALSO WOULD LIKE THE LEAST AMOUNT DOWN AND INCLUDE TAX ETC. DOES THAT SOUND LIKE IT CAN HAPPEN ?? ANY INFO WOULD HELP . BELOW IS WHAT I RECEIVED SO FAR. HOW SHOULD I NEGOTIATE THIS ?

I have three Liquid Platinum and one Black G-25X's - all of them have the Moonroof. I have two offers for you for the 18 month - 12,000 miles per year lease @ $289.00 per month. If you read the national add it says $1,995 plus tax, license, Acquisition Fee etc. What that comes to is:

$2,995.77 down which is with your taxes being paid up front

$2,539 down if you roll your taxes into the monthly payment, which would raise the monthly payment to $316.00 per month.

These numbers represent all charges there are no other fees, charges or payments.

Located here http://www.infinitiofardmore.com/infiniti-dealer-specials-2012-g37x-sedan--deale- r-7103-sid-27564.html is a deal a local infiniti is offering on a: G37x with Premium and Nav

    Pricing: MSRP = $43,655
    Deposit: $1,799
    Monthly: $289/mo
    Lease time: 18 months

What would the MF, residual, and purchase amount be?
Also, what is the factory incentive to the dealer on this?

    hey carman,

i've never leased a car before so I'm looking for some guidance here. i came across a lease agency offering a 2012 infinit g37x for about 350 for 36 mo including all fees/taxes and nothing down. i'm responsible for my 1st months payment. does this sound like a good deal? has anyone had any experience with lease agencies before? how are they able to offer a better deal than the dealers?

Just purchased the 2012 Infiniti G37 Journey.

Automatic, Premium, Navi, Trunk Mat, illuminated door sills.

18 Month Lease. 10k Per Year. 78% Residual. 0.00001 Money Factor.

Ended up paying $375 down and $270 a month!

This included $1000 loyalty cash as well for already owning an Infiniti which brought the down payment down from 1,375 down and 270 a month.

Texas is doing Tax Free leases right now. So even at $1375 down and $270 a month, I think it's a great deal and something everyone should jump on!

    Good Luck!

Hi - wasn't really considering the G but the deals on the leases seem very very good. Seems the 18 mos lease deals are good as they are trying to pull people ahead to get them into the new model when it comes out next year.

I was looking at G37 X AWD, Prem, tech, Nav $44,995 MSRP - looking to get it for 3k under invoice which would be $38,500

I did a calculation for an 18 mos lease based on 76% residual and .00028 MF and I am coming up with $300 per month - anyone get anything similar, seems like a great deal on a 45k car.
  • tank12tank12 Member Posts: 10
I'm in Dallas. Do you mind telling me which dealership you went to? Thanks.
  • tank12tank12 Member Posts: 10
If you find something like this, can you please post? I'm in Dallas and looking for a similar deal
  • stone19stone19 Member Posts: 28
    I am actually in NJ.

So the dealer came back and said there is only 1k lease cash available, 3k is only available for cash buyers.

When looking at the incentives listed on edumuds it does say 2k dealer cash which can be combined with special lease/finance and also lists 1k lease cash as a separate item,, so can anyone confirm - using IFS lease are you still eligible for 3k dealer cash?
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi Htown. The dealer invoice price of the car that you described is around $38,900. Infiniti is providing a $1,000 cash incentive on leases of it, lowering that figure to $37,900. The selling price that you were quoted is less than $1,000 over that, so it's not bad. The money factor that you were quoted is right on the money.

If you are indeed eligible for the $1,000 loyalty cash incentive on leases, make sure that the dealer subtracts that from the $38,704 cap cost that they quoted you.

I certainly have, donottrustem. Infiniti Financial Services' August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2012 G37 Coupe AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00019 and 69%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

These terms do indeed look fairly attractive.

Hey suicidy. The 2012 G37 Sedan AWD's base money factor is .00018 in August for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. It looks like the factor that you were quoted is slightly high.

Hi stone19. What you were told is correct. Infiniti is only providing a $1,000 cash incentive on leases of the 2012 G37 Sedan this month. There's $2,000 for people who finance through IFS and $3,000 for people who pay cash or finance trough an independent bank.

    Sure...
    MSRP was 42,350
Down Payment 500 (Including 1st month payment)
    Monthly 350
    Miles 12000
    Duration 18 months
Traded in my old lease which had 18 months left on it (IS250, they took care of the car, I did not pay anything towards that car).
  • wawzj619wawzj619 Member Posts: 59
Just curious, you did not pay any early termination fee for your old lease? How did it work to trade in your leased car? Would you share more details on it? I am thinking to jump out of my current lease too... :confuse:
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Trading in a car that is on a lease is no different then trading in a car that you are financing. The car is worth X, the leasing company's pay off is Y. Y - X = the amount or equity or negative equity you have which can be rolled into the next deal.

Is anyone getting more then 1k below invoice price on a lease deal from Infniti? Trying to figure out how much more room there is negotiating. Seems that Infiniti is really trying to blow these cars out so might be some good back end dealer volume incentives on them.

I have been looking at the 18 month lease on the g37x sedan and this is the best offer I have received. Please let me know if I can do any better

    G37x premium, navigation

    MSRP- 43,295
    Sale Price- 40,273
    Term- 18 months
    Residual- 78%
    Miles- 12,000/year
MF- .00028 (this is what every dealership has shown me)
    Tax- 8%

Due at signing would be 2,983 which is first month, acquisition, dealer fees, registration and plates, and 1,000 cap reduction

My payments come out to be $326.16/month
  • garden54garden54 Member Posts: 27
on your MSRP of $42,350...was navigation included? And what was in the $500....monthly payment of $350 + what?

Lastly, they just took your IS 250 off your hands?

    What state is this??

I live in Chicago, which gets hit with both high IL taxes on leases AND another Chicago lease tax on top of that (yes, that's ridiculous). That said, I just leased a G37x w/Prem, Nav, Interior Accents, and illuminated kick plates: 18 months, $0 down, $425/mo (including all taxes). I went with Fields Infiniti--the others area dealers played too many games and I quickly lost patience.
  • garden54garden54 Member Posts: 27
what was the MSRP on the "sticker" ??
  • srz948srz948 Member Posts: 76
Just leased a G37X w/Premium Pkg. & Navigation yesterday. 15K Miles per year, 39 Months. $0 down $450 per month all taxes and fees included. I was not eligible for any loyalty rebates. Considering what's out there I think it's a great value for a terrific car. (and I looked)

seeing the quotes you all are getting is making me feel ... inadequate in my negotiating prowess.
best deal i've been able to find on a 2012 6mt sedan is:
    10k miles; 77% resid; 18mo lease
    479/mo
1010 due at signing -- incl 1st mo pmt + license fee + residual taxes (there's some tax incentive in texas right now), and from what i can tell they are including a 400 cap reduction pmt in this which i'm not happy about.
msrp on the vehicle is 42635, though i got a matching lease offer on a vehicle with msrp 43180 (has spoiler & blackout grill added, but its out of town).

there are only 3 new 6mt sedans in texas that i've been able to find, and that's the best deal i've gotten. the msrp on the vehicles mentioned above is higher, and i'm being quoted MF 0.00055 which is also higher than others are mentioning. If there's room to negotiate, why can't I find a dealer to make it happen? Is there something incredibly unique to the pricing on a 6MT vs auto?

    Hi Tank,
is that the sedan or coupe? which dealer was it? I wasn't getting that good of a quote from Crest in Plano but they seemed to be fighting for my business. I really wonder if its the manual transmission that's ruining things for me...
  • tank12tank12 Member Posts: 10
It was the sedan at sewell. I didn't get a great quote from Crest, either. I haven't really negotiated either, that was just their initial offer.
  • indofroindofro Member Posts: 4
the deal i'm planning to move on for the sedan sport 6mt:
    450/mo
581 due at signing (1st month + $131 license fee)
18 mo lease - puts me in for 8231 over the course of the lease.

this was all from negotiations, so i'll see what the breakdown of MF, sales price, etc all come to when i go to sign the papers. this is the vehicle with msrp 42635.

from what i've been reading on this forum, this is a fair deal. Not great, but not bad either.
  • ilxman99ilxman99 Member Posts: 2
THe sticker was $44,250. BTW, my lease is 12k miles/yr (1k/mo for 18 mos.).
  • smarty666smarty666 Member Posts: 1,503
Can anyone give me an idea of what I should be able to get off the msrp on the following car? The quotes I have had so far have only taken like $2500 off msrp and I think they could do much better.

    2012 Infiniti G37x AWD
    Exterior Color: Smoky Quartz
Interior Color: Wheat Leather with Maple Accents

    Base MSRP: $38,500
    Premium Package: $2,500
    Interior Accent Package: $600
    Navigation Package: $1,850
    Destination & Handling: $895

    Total MSRP: $44,345

I was looking for a 36, 39, or 42 month lease, with 15k miles per year, $2,500 down as well.
  • stone19stone19 Member Posts: 28
You should be able to get invoice - $1000 manufacturer incentive I would think at minimum. Dealers in my area seem to have 50-80 cars in inventory so there is plenty of supply.

In SoCal, dealers are running low on variety. Out of the 4 dealers around me only 1 had White/Ebony combination.

    Leased a G37 Journey Premium for 18 months, 12k miles. $800 at signing / $350.45 month

    Sale Price: $36572.07.
    Title, Lic, Reg: $334
    Acq Fee: $700
    DMV Filing Fee: $29
    Total Gross Cap Cost: $37635.07

    Amt Due at Signing
    Cap Cost Reduct: $334.85
    First Month Pmt: $350.45
    Tax on Cap Reduct: $25.95
    Document Pricing Charge: $80
    CA Tire Fee: $8.75
    Total: $800

Hopes this helps some people out. I think $1,000 under invoice is the minimum you should settle for right now.

I basically ended up leasing a G37 for the same monthly and drive offs for a Acura ILX. :shades:

  • wawzj619wawzj619 Member Posts: 59
I don't think this forum has private message system...also your email is private...Would you share your dealership name here? I believe it's allowed to share the dealership in the forum...I'm in Houston and about to take an offer now...So want to see if can get anything better...Thanks for your help!!
  • ephaepha Member Posts: 11
I don't think htownpimp786 will post the dealer.

I searched his posts and he looks to be a broker. Lot's of posts on lots of cars.

I too would love to know the dealer on the G37 deal, but don't see a way to pm.
  • garden54garden54 Member Posts: 27
on that car...at least in the NY area, they will offer you a 18 or 39 month lease...and if you put that much down on a lease, you should get it for less than $400 per month

Good or bad deal for 18 month lease?
    G37 4DR Journey + premium + nav + mats + lighted kick plates
    MSRP $42,705.00
    12K per year
    Total upfront: $2,000.00 + 1st month 271.42
    17 Months @ $271.42
    Disposition: $395.00
    Total for lease: down + 1st month + 17 months + disposition = $7280.56
    All TTL etc included.
  • smarty666smarty666 Member Posts: 1,503
All 3 NJ Infiniti dealers will not go below $400 a month as I've asked and they've told me so. What I want to know is, Nissan is currently taking $7100 off a fully loaded Maxima, can it be doable right now to get a $4-5k off msrp on a AWD Premium/Nav package G37?
