You don't want to lease this vehicle for 24 months.

An advertised payment without any vehicle pricing or other details doesn't give us much to go on.

the Land Rovers and Jaguars are nice vehicles however the 24 month lease rates are a major rip off due to exorbitant interest charges like 5.5 percent+_ on all their short term lease programs in conjunction with Chase Bank.
On the longer leases 33/36 where they sometimes considerably lower the interest rates(dba)money factor, the residuals are rated exceptionally low making up for the lower money factors thereby not making them good lease values compared with other competitive lease vehicles

36/10 residual is 1% higher, but it isn't better or worse. Get the mileage allowance that you need.

.00053 is the base rate; dealer can mark it up by .00100 for extra profit.

Working on a new discovery. I priced out a build via the Land Rover USA site with suggested MSRP.

The dealer responded that if I was to order a build they would share there invoice pricing upon delivery and charge me invoice price + 200.00.

1. Is this something he could be held accountable to, I.e. Will I be able to verify invoice prices?

2. I have not discussed any other factors. I do intend to lease but have not mentioned any financing. My plan would be to assess the offers when the car is delivered and make a decision at that point. With a clear understanding of the MF and residual. Do I need to have a residual before ordering or is that too late?

If it's not in writing, I wouldn't believe it.

And, "invoice" pricing can be whatever the dealer wants it to mean. Has no relationship to actual dealer cost.

I'd suggest you do your own price research and negotiate it with the dealer.

Meaning could I learn from the invoice pricing percentage versus MSRP as a reference? Is there a way to determine true dealer pricing? Right now most show MSRP my guess is this begins to calm as we hit October/November?

You'll never get the true dealer cost; lots of sites show the invoice price, including here at Edmunds.

But, since Jaguar and LR have the same corporate ownership, I would think that the markups are similar between the two brands.

We don't follow pricing, so we won't be any help to you in establishing a target.

But - wow! - $62K for a Discovery? That must be fully loaded.

I wouldn't make any deal where I don't know the MF and residual. Too much risk.

I don't think Land Rover will lock rates. You are at the mercy of the program that is offered at delivery. Also, be aware that the dealer can mark up the money factor for extra profit.

In general, Land Rover invoice prices are out 94% of MSRP
