Do you have any idea what they currently give on discounts?

No info on pricing, though my guess is that a 2018 will have less of a discount than a similar 2017 that the dealer is trying to get rid of.

    .00100 MF and 59% residual for 36/12.

You need an actual lease quote that discloses the money factor, acquisition fee, pre-tax and post-tax payment, and adjusted CAP cost.

    Msrp 38,675
    Adjusted 35,171
    RV 23,970
MF 1.4 (they keep saying this) I did the math at .00066 or am I missing something!
  • kyfdxkyfdx Posts: 120,274
I'll guess that they really mean .00140, and that's marked up from .00100.

That residual amount doesn't match up with the MSRP.
    It's about 62%, instead of 59%.

Looks like they are just throwing numbers out there.. I'd ask to see the deal on a computer screenshot, so you can see where all the money is going. (or, shop around)

    Very good...
The 60% residual is for 36/10. Did they tell you it was a 36/12 lease?
$1095 acquisition fee is marked up the maximum from the $795 base
Money factor is marked up from .00100 to .00145
The total initial fees includes that big $699 doc fee.
The upfront fees + the cap reduction don't quite add up to $3000, but the rest is probably sales tax on the CAP reduction and doc fee.

Naturally, the payment is correct for the numbers given.
If they charged $795 for the acquisition fee and used the base .00100 MF, the payment would be $374.33+tax = $396.79/mo. That's with the same $3000 upfront.

    Hope that helps

It's not a bad lease program. The payment will depend on the price you negotiate.

Thank you! Is the MF low because of a special leasing program?

Have another deal on a 2018 GLA, in Florida but via a dealer in the Midwest who would secure the car.  Still trying figure out the '17 or '18.

    MSRP:  39075
    CapCost: 34563
    36 months
    10k
    Residual: 24226.50 (62%)
    MF:  .00050
    Acquisition: 1095 (marked up 300)
    Sales Tax: 1,056.80
    Doc/dealer/State fees: 365

    Quoted payment:

    $428.95 - 0 cash down
    $399.42 - $1000 down

    30 month One-pay = $14,225.60
    36 month One-pay = $14,756

seems like the 36 month is better.  Do the numbers seem correct?  Money factor seems a tad high for a one pay. Are any '18s at .00038? If I could get that, plus the acquisition fee to 795, what would the 36 month payment be?  36 month one pay?

    Thank u

Looking at the deal sheet. That's what he wrote down. I guess I should take it, since yours are worse.

Are those the new August numbers? Or are they not out yet?

Update - the numbers are .00100 and 60%. However on a One Pay, the MF falls to .0002. Doing an MSD, with 10 would bring it down to .0003.

Was able to now get the one pay at just under $14k. 36 months.
