Would it be wise to wait for july deal? I'm dealing on a cla 250 and gla 250 for myself and my in law. Gla 250 feels expensive with lower RV and higher mf for june, it's coming out quite a chunk more expensive than cla 250.

So I'm trying to negotiate a lease on a 2018 GLA 250, 36 mo/7.5k , this is where I'm landing 



I can't seem to get the sales manager to budge much more. His MF was around .00044, I told him I would like to see it closer to .00026 but he says it wouldn't make a difference with 10 MSDs as the lowest would be .00001 anyways. 

How can I get this deal down? I'm in 78741. The acquisition fee for the dealership is 1095.

The dealer is partially right - .00001 is the lowest the MF can go.

However, he base MF is .00026, so you only need 4 MSDs to lower the MF to .00001. The fact that they are requiring 10 MSDs to get to .00001 tells me they are inflating the starting MF, before MSDs.

Tell them you want the same deal, but with only $2000 in MSDs instead of $5000 and see what they say. My guess is that some of that discount you see off MSRP will disappear.

If the entire $2k up front reduces the cap cost, then we're back at about $380/mo. Close.

Then, that looks pretty good. I get a lot higher payment.
Make sure your money is going to security deposits, and not CAP reduction.

The wrong residual percentage would concern me, as well.

I wonder if once you lease, you are getting sales tax credits? Otherwise, I don't have an explanation for the low payment.

To get to the quoted payment, the MF would have to be marked up to about .00123 from .00026.

Unless there are other charges added to the CAP, that haven't been disclosed, or that isn't the actual selling price.

Okay.. your document shows 15K/yr, and $2000 due at signing?

If I roll in the first payment, the acquisition fee and the DMV charges, for a CAP cost of approx. $38000, 55% residual for 36/12, I get $442/mo.+tax... Still short of their quote.

The math is the math... if it's different, then some of the other assumptions or numbers are incorrect.
