I'm all over the place car shopping and this may be naive, but is it possible to get figures on a demo vehicle? There's a 2017 BMW 2 Series 230i Coupe auto that I found at a local dealership in Los Angeles. The car has 6,800 miles. It is listed as a Demo. They wouldn't let me lease it would they? I was hoping to get figures on a lease for 36 months, 10k per year. Can you please let me know what the money factor is? They have it listed as MSRP: $42,495

Market Price: $30,495

That's not a bad lease payment for a $42K MSRP vehicle.
A little bargaining, and maybe you come in under $400/mo.?

BMW reduces the residual by 4%, in addition to the mileage deduction, for loaners with 5000-7499 existing mileage.

Thank you - any idea why BMW residuals are so much lower than they have been in years past? I've leased 4 BMWs over the last several years and residuals have always been in the high-50s to mid-60s.

Reality check?

When the market value at lease end is less than the residual value, BMWFS could lose money. Therefore, they've adjusted residual values to be more in line with the market.

And, it puts more money into BMW's pocket.

Hello-I was quoted a money factor of .00206 for super elite credit from a BMW dealership in Denver today. Is this correct? When I told the salesperson that I was expecting a money factor of .00166, he said that was for last month. This was to initiate an order of a 2018 M240i which would be structured as a 36month/12K mile lease. Are they marking up the money factor for additional profit or has that money factor changed? Bzzzz. Dealer is trying to pull a fast one (which dealer is this, so I'll know to avoid them if I'm ever in the market)

.00166 is the base MF for May; the dealer is allowed, by BMWFS, to mark it up .00040 for extra profit.

Last month, the base MF was .00156.

Thanks Michaell. They changed their tune after I spoke with the sales manager and gave me the appropriate MF of 0.00166. I'm moving forward with placing my order with them. The dealer is Schomp in Highlands Ranch. Denver Downtown BMW had no allocations to offer for the M240i.

I am leasing and fortunately the accessories are residualized. I did subtract the heated steering wheel and CF mirror caps for my final build. Thanks for the heads up, this forum is a great source of helpful info.
