Here is what he just shared with me... If the negotiated price of the car is $52,785, are the fees the Net Cap Cast minus the Negotiated price? $56,681 - $52,785 = $3,896

$57,121 is the Gross CAP. That doesn't include tax, because you can see that is added afterwards. So, you are actually looking at a difference of $4336.
So, the question is: Was your negotiated price inclusive of the $2750 rebate? Or, were you expecting the rebate to be applied on top of that price (or, did you even know about the rebate?). Assuming the negotiated price already included the rebate, you are looking at $1586 of fees. $925 acquisition fee, DMV fees, and probably a big fat dealer fee of $400-$500.
Given the numbers listed on that screenshot, the payment calculation is correct. I'd guess the disconnect is on whether your negotiated price was inclusive of the rebate.
As much as I love the 4 Series, I want value too when it comes to lease financing. I felt like I got great value on my current 435i GC. What I can't get over is that this is virtually the same car I'm currently driving at a slightly better negotiated price and it's still $105 more a month... doesn't sound like great value to me. I wish I didn't love driving this car so much.
From a leasing finance perspective, would I get a better deal on a 5-Series? What about Audi (S5 SB) and MB (C43) leases? Are Audi and MB offering better residuals and MF's than BMW? (I know this is a 4 Series thread... if I should be asking this elsewhere, I apologize)

Can you please let me know if this is a good deal? I currently lease a 2015 4-series from this dealership (Los Angeles) and have the rebates ($2750= 2000+750 loyalty). Thank you!

Typical AutoNation quote - they give you all the numbers for a purchase, then tack on a lease payment quote that isn't related to any of those numbers. CA taxes the monthly payment on a lease; no mention of the acquisition fee.
Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - that should clear things up.
We don't believe in large cash amounts up front on a lease - just first payment and DMV costs - figure $1000-1500 max.

$4000 due at signing. I asked the saleswoman what does the $4000 entail and she said that she just pulled out the number from the air. Uhhhh ok...
I told her I would pay between 1000-1500, and she said the monthly payments would be higher. Why does this sound like a scam?

The less up front you have, the higher the payment becomes - that's basic math. Roughly $28/mo for every $1000.
But, randomly picking numbers for up front cash is not a sound business policy - they are likely trying to get to a specific monthly payment.

Unless the deal changes (i.e.: you negotiate a lower price), then yes... .less money upfront will result in a higher payment.
Hi Mitchell, Please tell me residual and money factor for 36/12 and 36/15 plus any lease incentives for the BMW 430i convertible in south Florida . Thank you for your assistance.

Got this offer on a 430xi GC. It’s a demo and has 3200 miles on it. Do these numbers look good or do I have some room for negotiation? I have a Fleet discount but the sales rep says it doesn’t apply to demos. Thanks!
36mo/12k MSRP: $50,785 sales price: $44,698 rebate: $2000 MF: .00152 (they list it as 1.52) RV: 56% (-$673 for the miles I guess) RV: $27,766 Bank fee: $925 Total Cap: $43,623 Depreciation: $440.49 Finance $108.51 Total payment: $549/mo OOP: $2500+ DMV (towards taxes and 1st month)
after rebate its about 15% off msrp which seems pretty good for a BMW, even One with 3,000 Miles. Thanks!
It's about 12% off MSRP, before the rebate. You might have another $1000-$1500 of room on the price. The 4-Series doesn't have a great lease program, but you've done pretty well with what you have to work with. If you can get more off, just reduce your upfront by the same amount, and keep the payment.
I bet it looks great.. My wife's X3 is Mineral White.

Thanks! I love that Mineral White exterior with the Cognac interior. On the exact same build but without the demo miles they quoted me $680/Mo with the same OOP $. The guy said I’d never be able to tell it was a demo if I didn’t see the odometer. I’m sure they keep it in really good shape for people to drive. My mother did a demo 330xi a couple months ago from a different dealer and she loves it. Now I just gotta decide if I want to go with this or the Volvo S90 T6... decisions, decisions

My wife's X3 was a service loaner. Saddle Brown interior. Looks great against the metallic white.
It wouldn't be close for me. Unless you need the extra interior room of the Volvo, I'd pick the 4-Series GC, any day.
Can you please provide MF and RV for 2018 440i Gran Coupe 4 Dr. For SF bay area. Looking to add M package and Premium package. Also any discounts or promos ? Feb / March ? Is true car value a good price or should target better price than that ? Thanks a bunch in advance.

36/15 .00152 and 54% $1000 lease credit
We recommend you target 7% off, before the $1000 incentive
Hi, I've always leased, but have never broken down the payment in a manner like these posts. This forum has been a huge help! I was hoping someone could let me know if this was a good deal on a loaner with 3,000 miles on it. If not, what can I negotiate differently?
430i Gran Coupe xDrive 36 months / 15k per year $55,840 MSRP $50,340 selling price ($5,500 discount) Also received an additional $2,750 in rebates ($2,000 contract rebate + $750 owner loyalty). 3,000 miles on the loaner $925 acquisition fee $250 doc fee 7.0% sales tax .00192 MF
$739 monthly fee (including tax) $1,055 due at signing ($739 first payment, $123 tags & fees, $193 tax on rebates)
I will ask to lower MF down to .00152. Do you think it is also reasonable to ask for $8,500 discount (15%) instead of $5,500 (10%)? Is there some justification behind it that I can use?

Is this Ohio? The payment looks to be right on, with the marked up money factor. (I used $50,529 as the adjusted CAP) The base money factor would knock about $34/mo. off of the payment.
Besides the money factor, the question is the sale price. Is 10% enough? The mileage reduces your residual by $750, so the discount is effectively 8.5%. I'd want more than that, but can't tell you the market.
In September, I negotiated 15% off of an X3 loaner with 4400 miles... but, that was a 2017 model, so not exactly apples to apples.
Every $1000 lower takes another $31/mo. off the payment. I definitely wouldn't be happy with the deal the way it sits.. Not with a marked up money factor.

Regarding your X3 loaner, did the 15% discount include the 4,400 miles (4,400 * $0.25 = $1,100) in your discounted price, or did you negotiate a 15% discount off MSRP and THEN include the 4,400 miles ($1,100) on top of that?

Thanks so much for all the help!! You guys are great!!
Has BMW changed the way they do their leases recently ? Based on this payments are going to be pretty big ! Payment on new 4 series will be much higher than my 535i fully loaded that I got 3 years ago! The local dealer sales person I was talking to said money factor was around 0.0009 and residual 61% which makes more in line with what I paid 3 years ago. I know rates have gone up but residual of 56% off of MSRP seems way too high. It does not make sense to lease rather buy and finance.

>>00152 MF and 56% residual
BMW has slowly been modifying their lease programs that make the payments more expensive, compared to your last lease 3 years ago.

In all, BMWFS seem to not be offering anything great for leasing... at least not like they used to.

Not Audi.

Can you please let me know if this is a good deal? I currently lease a 2015 4-series from this dealership (Los Angeles) and have the rebates ($2750= 2000+750 loyalty). Thank you!
Rebates: $2,750

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - that should clear things up.
We don't believe in large cash amounts up front on a lease - just first payment and DMV costs - figure $1000-1500 max.

How much is due from you at signing?
With those numbers, and 9% sales tax, I get $652/mo.

I told her I would pay between 1000-1500, and she said the monthly payments would be higher. Why does this sound like a scam?

$4000 due at signing. I asked the saleswoman what does the $4000 entail and she said that she just pulled out the number from the air. Uhhhh ok...

MSRP: $50,785
sales price: $44,698
rebate: $2000
MF: .00152 (they list it as 1.52)
RV: 56% (-$673 for the miles I guess)
RV: $27,766
Bank fee: $925
Total Cap: $43,623
Depreciation: $440.49
Finance $108.51
Total payment: $549/mo
OOP: $2500+ DMV (towards taxes and 1st month)
after rebate its about 15% off msrp which seems pretty good for a BMW, even One with 3,000 Miles. Thanks!

My wife's X3 was a service loaner. Saddle Brown interior. Looks great against the metallic white.
It wouldn't be close for me. Unless you need the extra interior room of the Volvo, I'd pick the 4-Series GC, any day.

430i Gran Coupe xDrive
36 months / 15k per year
$55,840 MSRP
$50,340 selling price ($5,500 discount)
Also received an additional $2,750 in rebates ($2,000 contract rebate + $750 owner loyalty).
3,000 miles on the loaner
$925 acquisition fee
$250 doc fee
7.0% sales tax
.00192 MF
$739 monthly fee (including tax)
$1,055 due at signing ($739 first payment, $123 tags & fees, $193 tax on rebates)
I will ask to lower MF down to .00152. Do you think it is also reasonable to ask for $8,500 discount (15%) instead of $5,500 (10%)? Is there some justification behind it that I can use?
Thanks in advance for the help!
The payment looks to be right on, with the marked up money factor. (I used $50,529 as the adjusted CAP)
The base money factor would knock about $34/mo. off of the payment.

Yes, this is in Ohio.
I'm pretty sure I can get the MF down to base.
Regarding your X3 loaner, did the 15% discount include the 4,400 miles (4,400 * $0.25 = $1,100) in your discounted price, or did you negotiate a 15% discount off MSRP and THEN include the 4,400 miles ($1,100) on top of that?
