My problems happened on the 2nd night I had the truck...Kind of aggravating on a $50K vehicle if you ask me!!!
My wife is the one who drives our new LTZ (however she does let ME drive it when we go somewhere together
Hopefully they'll get these parts soon...I'll let you know more when to expect these parts if I can find out from them.
Thanks,

Now at the same time, I've been researching Honda Civics... so I know what you mean on gas prices.
Note to Host: Edmunds has hwy mpg at 18 for the 07 Tahoe. Needs updating....
Got an update today on my Tahoe. District manager for GM was contacted by my dealer and told the fact that they can not get the replacement modules was unacceptable to both the dealer and myself. Manager went direct to the part supplier and had it shipped to the dealer. It arrived today and they are attempting to get it installed and running for pickup tonight. My dealer is the number #1 in the state for car sales volume that may have helped. Good luck with your LTZ. :shades:

Anyone can send a Contact form, so anytime you see something that needs updating, like the mpg, please let us know.

Dealership called me late yesterday afternoon and said all my parts were in so I scheduled an appointment for first thing this morning. Got a call this afternoon that my "Z" was ready and that I can pick it up. I asked my Service Tech what they did to it...And he said that they did NOT replace the module as they said they were going to do, but instead since no other "events" showed on their computer diagnostics, they searched and supposedly found an issue with a ground wire!!! They said they contacted GM and was told to NOT replace the module but instead fix the grounding issue and have me "watch" the vehicle closely to see if I have this event take place again!!!!
The Tech told me that the module costs about $1,400 and they (GM) didn't want to start replacing them in everybody's truck if the problem really is only a grounding issue. Not to sure I believe my Tech but I guess I will give him benefit of the doubt.
They also didn't fix my dash as they said that GM still had not sent them any of the replacement clips that are needed to hold it down correctly. From what I was told, this is a common problem and is known by GM that it needs to be fixed...Just like the "L" window molding coming loose on the outside rear doors/windows. Was told that I would be notified as soon as GM supplies them with the parts to fix these 2 items.
I will keep a close watch on my module issues and immediately report any new findings that I have. If anybody else out there has an issue like mine and 07tahoeguy's please let me know.
Is your's this way too??
Is there anybody else out there that has this facia installed and it's not very sturdy? Based on the service and answers I've been getting from my local Service Department (again, see my post above) I'm kind of wondering if they may have just half A$$ed installed this cover!!!
If you all could let me know how snug/secure your rear facia cover is I would greatly appreciate it.
In all my prior and current vehicles (Honda and Ford) whenever the air was in this mode it entirely eliminated ANY outside air from coming in.
The reason I ask is because when I'm following another vehicle that has a bad exhaust problem or going through an area where the outside air is being polluted...I can still smell the odor!! I have never had this problem before with my other vehicles and my dealer says that it's "normal"! Based on some of the other answers they have given me...I don't really believe them.
Can somebody help me out here as I really don't think I should be smelling anything (or maybe just BARELY smelling it) when my A/C is in the recycle mode.
Thanks in advance for anybody's help with this..........
Dave

I'm fine with that! The highway MPG is better than my V6 QX-4.
I've been running 93 octane in the Tahoe since the beginning. Since the price difference is only 6% more than regular unleaded, why not pay a little more for the best performance?
I did have someone tell me it would do more harm than good using 93 octane if it only calls for 87, but I couldn't see how. Any thoughts?
maybe it's worth it for some folks to burn high-octane in their Tahoes just for the placebo effect !
It does seem to me though that the average price paid for a loaded Tahoe just went up from maybe 31K to 41K after all the pushing and shoving is over with.
They can't re-drill the holes further back now in the same place. I tried "rigging" mine and broke one of the plastic attachments off. So much for my 80 bucks!
They might be able to drill new holes in both the cover holder and the bumper.
I took the truck back this morning to show it to my service tech and he said that that's the way it's supposed to be. I'm kind of getting tired of their "excuses" so maybe when I get their Customer Service Survey I'll really let them have it this time.
Think I'll print out the comments here on the forum about the pattern being off slightly and take it down to them...They better fix it and fix it right or they may be starting to deal with an "unhappy" customer.
So if anyone else is considering installing the rear fascia, make sure you (or the dealer) installs it about a half-inch back toward the vehicle than what the template shows.
ps. my wife's 04 Lexus RX330 that weighs 10%+ less gets almost 20% better milage but with premium fuel. If you do the math the costs difference is tiny. Pound for pound the Tahoe is more efficient (driven conservatively as I do).
