    Hi guys,

Is it possible to find out what Volvo’s finance rates are for businesses for various amounts and terms? I have a feeling that the finance manager is not being honest when I asked him about the rates.  I was originally planning on financing through BOA and they keep swaying me to go through Volvo.  As I tried to put more money down the manager said that rates will go up if I do and it doesn’t make sense.  I feel like they are just trying to make more money off financing, can you help?  Thanks.

If you are titling in a business name, then we don't have the rates for that.

But, dealers get bonuses for financing, and some of them are higher for higher loan amounts, so you might be running into that.

Hello - been looking for to upgrade my current lease due to family reasons. I am currently on 42 month leasewith audi (Audi A3 2017, premium, payoff quote of 29,5K) and considering my trade looking to get 2018 XC90 T6 Momentum AWD (zip 60606) MSRP 60,420 (10K miles /39 months). The dealer is coming of 2700 down (plus first payment) and 799/mo -amounts already include taxes. Is this a good deal?

And what happens to the Audi? That contract has to be satisfied.

Lease numbers are .00110 and 53%; $2750 Volvo allowance

What is the selling price? Adjusted CAP cost?

Is this City of Chicago? If so, you'll have about 17% total taxes, between the state and city.

He is including the negative equity into the monthly payment. I think it is about 6K. I don’t ha have the CAP or selling price, we’ve negotiating monthly payment. The amounts includes taxes (for one of the Chicago suburbs, which I also have residency). I am struggling to see if it is a good deal overall.

If you are eating $175/mo. to get out of your current lease, that seems like a really bad idea.

Hi Michaell, can you please help me review this quote for 07748?

    2018 XC90 T6 Momentum AWD (loaner/demo)
    6001 miles

    MSRP: $59,985
    Dealer Discount: $6,440
    Sale Price: $53,545

    Government Fee: $421.55
    Proc/Doc Fee: $399
    Aftermarkets: $595
    Capitalized Taxes (NJ): $2,137.98
    Gross Cap Cost: $58,093.53
    Total Due at Signing: $811.59
    Monthly (w/ tax, $0 down): $811.59

Itemized Accessories: Zurich Shield Elite: $595

I’m waiting for the dealer to provide MF and residual. Since this is a loaner I don’t quite know how to calculate what the residual should be. Also, I don’t recall seeing anyone else mentioning the aftermarket Zurich Shield Elite. Is this something the dealer is trying to force onto me?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, on the aftermarket stuff. Just padding the profit margin for the dealer.

Adjust the sales price by $600 to mitigate it.

What lease term and how many miles per year?

My question back to you is this ... what would the lease quote be for a new car with 0 miles on it? $800+ a month seems like a lot for a car with 6000 miles on it.

There will be an adjustment to the residual to account for the miles, but we don't know the formula used.

    It should be 39/10K.

And agreed, $800+ is pretty ridiculous for a loaner with that many miles. Assuming there are zero or minimal incentives from Volvo, then they'd only be discounting the car by ~12% which seems low for that many miles.

Looking for feedback on this quote:

    '18 XC90 T6 Inscription
    39/15

    MSRP: $69,785
    Total discounts, incentives, loyalty: $7571
    RV: 48%
    MF: .00116

    $3,000 = $905
    $4,000 = $877
    $5,000 = $849
Payments include all tax, tags and fees.

It seems really high to me. They don't appear to be marking up the MF, and it seems like all the discounts are there, but maybe I need to push more on the sales price?

$2750 dealer incentive from Volvo on this model/trim.

Considering 9%-11% sales tax, the payment is probably about right.
But, without the adjusted CAP cost, it's hard to pin it down, exactly.

With $2750 from Volvo, and another A-Plan discount ($3000, maybe?), that doesn't look all that aggressive.
But, how do you know where to push, if you don't know what numbers they are using?

I'd want a breakdown of all charges, fees, discounts, etc.

Hi folks, this forum is great!

    @kyfdx , @Michaell ...
I'm looking at leasing a 2018 XC90 T6 Momentum AWD .. either a 36mo/12000 miles, or a 36mo/8000 miles duration. I don't yet know how much it would cost if I went over the mileage limit after 3 yrs.

Could you help me out here with MF/RV numbers for the above, for WA state?

Also, a few other questions for you... First time leaser here, thanks for the patience!
    1. Dealer gave me a few leasing options, at 36 months, but no APR or MF numbers alongside it. Can I ask them for it?
    2. On what basis can I negotiate down the MF?
    3. Besides a MSD (refundable sec deposit), and a down payment (on top of the ~10k from the trade-in), what are the other ways to lower my monthly payments? for a 36 month lease.

    .00110 MF and 53% residual
    $2750 Volvo Allowance

    1) You should get all the details on a lease from the dealer. If they don't want to disclose, find another dealer.
    2) The base MF (given above) is the lowest available for top tier credit.
    3) Using a downpayment or trade-in to lower the monthly payment doesn't really make the vehicle any less costly.
The way to lower the price is to negotiate a lower selling price.

Thanks for the info! We've already negotiated the price down about 13% below MSRP, but now the lowest monthly lease option I have is:
    Term 36mo, RV 54%, 8000 cash down = 666.13/month
This feels like a much higher MF, and my rough math shows MF=0.0033. Dealer hasn't pulled my credit yet, so can I expect this to change when they do?

Also, what do you folks think of gap coverage and wear-and-tear coverage? If it is a worthwhile addition, is purchasing from the dealer the only option?

GAP is included with every Volvo Finance lease
I'd pass on wear and tear. It's generally marked up a lot.

    36/12
    .00110 MF and 53% residual

    1) You should get all the details on a lease from the dealer. If they don't want to disclose, find another dealer.
    2) The base MF (given above) is the lowest available for top tier credit.
    3) Using a downpayment or trade-in to lower the monthly payment doesn't really make the vehicle any less costly.
The way to lower the price is to negotiate a lower selling price.

If the residual is 54%, then it's for 36/10, not 36/12

I can't comment on your price, or possible money factor used, because you haven't given me any of the details regarding MSRP, selling price or adjusted CAP cost.

I doubt the dealer is using .0033 for a money factor, but I don't doubt that they've marked up the rate substantially, since you don't have any other details. I wouldn't expect them to drop the rate, once they run your credit.

    I also wouldn't put $8000 upfront on a lease.

Actually, the best term for this vehicle is 39 months. I'm surprised they haven't told you that.

I dont have much else from the dealer, except the MSRP 60635, and the sale price 53000. We were thinking of a down payment from the $$ we have selling our old suv. Should we use that towards an MSD instead?

I'll get the other missing info today.

Either MSDs, or have them cut you a check for the balance, after paying first payment and DMV fees

    @kyfdx - I'll def ask for that.

Could you also share MF/RV for a 36/7.5k and 39/7.5k, for the same 2018 t6 momentum, for WA state?
2 dealers have told me that 36months is the sweet spot for this car, when I asked for a 39 months quote.. Is that another of their ways to make a few more bucks?

Really appreciate all the advice... Thanks!

The dealers are wrong. The 39 month term is better. Using a less advantageous program wouldn't help them make more money. A more expensive program means they would have to reduce their price to get the same payment.
They are just math challenged, or took what they thought they knew from a different model and extrapolated it to this one.

I just walked out of Cherry Hill Volvo after speaking to the sales manager, who was rude and looked like the crypt keeper.

Looking for numbers (and a dealer recommendation around NJ/PA) on a 2018 T6 momentum.
    39mo @ 12k/yr
    $2750 Rebate
I assume the MF was .00110 and residual was 52%
    Putting 3k down
Company car for a tax exempt organization

He was discounting the car $3500 ($59.9msrp) and said payments were $650/mo.
I understand the math, but his attitude was crap, didn't mention anything about using the MSD's to lower payments or other options.

From what I've seen online, some of these 2018's are being discounted close to $6500 (not including rebates). Or maybe the 2019's just lease out better?

Long story short, looking to be around $550/mo.

    Thanks in advance

Can I get the MF, residuals, and current incentives for 2018 Volvo XC90 T6 Momentum 36/12 (happy to go 39 if the numbers are compelling). Also, I'm I shooting for approx. $7K off MSRP? or more?

Are the numbers better or worse for 2019?

    Those are the correct numbers.
    We don't track pricing.
Not sure if having the car in a company name will affect the rates.
