Yeah, I'd avoid leasing in Texas in general because of that, but if you do lease, look into longer terms, as you'll have more time to amortize the tax amount.

Deduct $825 from the calculated residual amount
For most makes (including BMW), existing mileage reduces the residual, and you still get the full complement of mileage on the lease (10K/yr in this case). It does not take mileage off of your contracted lease miles.
