    Hi,
Wanted to know if this is a good deal and if not what i should possibly counter with. Both of these are loaners.

    2018 330I MSRP 47,145 3500 lease credit 1000 loyalty and 6250 disc= $10,750 has 3600 miles on it
    1000 drive off 483/mo INCLUDING TAX 10k/year
    2000 drive off 452/mo INCLUDING TAX 10k/year
    3000 drive off 421/mo INCLUDING TAX 10k/year

    320i
    MSRP 44895, 3000 lease credit 1000 loyalty and 5250 disc = $9250 has 4500 miles on it
    1000 drive off 496/mo INCLUDING TAX 10k/year
    2000 drive off 465/mo INCLUDING TAX 10k/year
    3000 drive off 434/mo INCLUDING TAX 10k/year

both have residual of 60% and MF of .00188

Would think it would be a higher percentage disc off of the MSRP for loaners (not sure what's fair for a lease credit or loyalty) and just want to know what would be a fair deal.
    Zip code is 90015

    Thanks!

You should target 15% off MSRP, before incentives.

Those quotes are close, but I suspect you can get a little more off each offer.

    .00188 MF and 57% residual
    $4500 lease credit

I get $515/mo+tax, without adding any fees or upfront taxes.

Need about $2600 in extras added to get that payment.
Or, some amount less than that, plus a marked up money factor.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, and an accounting of how they calculated it.
$8200 off sounds great, but considering the large rebate, it's just average.

I'm looking at a BMW 330i GT xDrive MSRP $55,435 with 9,500 miles 24 Months, 10k miles/year, selling price $34,800, Gross cap is 36,600. Offer is 2K down $379/month but I would like 12K/year instead. I feel the offer is still too high. Thanks in advance!

    Where are you located?
Did they give you the residual amount?

On a short lease, with a high MSRP car, the extra to move up to 12K/yr is going to be relatively expensive. $25/mo. more. Still cheaper than paying for an extra 4000 miles at lease end, though.

Its only $0.20 per mile after the 20k.

I get $315/mo. with that Gross CAP.
Are you sure there isn't anything left out of that?
Do you have a breakdown of the numbers?
Even with a max markup of the money factor from .00188 to .00228, I'm only up to $342/mo

    $0.20/mi X 4000 miles is $800
Taking the 12K/yr allowance adds $554
(but, I think the mileage penalty at lease end is $0.25/mi.)

You are looking at a good deal, either way. (leasing a $55K MSRP vehicle for under $400/mo), but the numbers don't add up.

MSRP is $50,890 and sales price is $42,690 and their initial offer was $593 plus tax ($633) with only 1st payment due at signing.

Dealer called back, MSRP is $50,890, $3700 discount, $4500 lease cash, for purchase price of $42,690.
The adjusted cap cost is $45,297.93 ($899 doc fee, 238 bank fee, 282 taxes on fees, $925 bank acquisition fee, $185 registration fee are the big ticket ones). Said he was using 188 as money factor and 57% residual. He also said that I was rolling the inception fees into the lease and I asked what those were but he didn't explain further.

Everything you've noted in parentheses are the inception fees; if there is anything else beyond that, it's likely just for dealer profit. No wonder they don't want to give you details about that.

I'm just a $1 off that quote, using those numbers.

The only way to improve on it is to get a bigger discount from sticker, or use MSDs to buy down the MF.

No, you didn't give me the adjusted residual. ($29,891.05)
    That gives me $379/mo.

Looks like the loaner residual program got worse, this month. 9% reduction before mileage adjustment, instead of the 6% reduction, previously
$23-$24/mo. to move up to 12K/yr

Don't expect things to get better.

And, at some point, BMW will simply pull lease support for the 2018's. Not saying it will happen next month, but it will happen eventually.

Can you please let me know if this is a good deal or if this can be negotiated further? Thank you in advance for your help.

    2018 BMW 330i xDrive
    2,535 miles
    36/10
I will be putting down 7 MSDs
    00153.00 MF
    $29,734.25 Residual
    Location: CT

With 0 down (other than the $2,800 MSDs) I was given a monthly quote of $456.74

Attached is the breakdown provided with 1st month, acquisition fee, doc fees and MSD's. Not sure how this adds up. Was quoted $396.56 monthly.

Was told this is the last of the 2018 330i xDrives. Actually went in for an X1 but was told this is a better deal. Lease is up third week in March.

    Thank you!

Yes, that is a good quote.

Not much you can do to improve, other than to get more of a discount off sticker. As a demo, you should try to get 15% off MSRP.

Hi, i got the following quote today. I don’t think it’s a good quote but would like to confirm. Can someone tell me how much more should I ask to discount.
330i, 36/10k, monthly $310+tax, drive off $5k. I was told the rate is 2.28. sale price is $41xxx. I think the dealer gave me $5k rebate which included royalty.

    Thanks in advance.

    What is the MSRP?
    What is your location?

The money factor is marked up from .00188

    I wouldn't put $5000 upfront on a lease.

@kyfdx i am at N. California. The MSRP is $46,545. 5k drive off included approx 2.7k fees. I figue the down is 2.3k. If I opt for no down pay instead put 2.8k MSD, then monthly pay will be $367+tax. Dealer told me that’s the max security deposits I can put, is it true? I am not sure what number i should negotiate.
    Thanks!

We'd recommend MSDs instead of up front cash.

And, no way is there $2700 worth of fees in CA:

$925 acquisition fee (roll into payment)
DMV costs (usually 1.1% of MSRP, or $500-ish)
$85 doc fee (capped by law in CA; roll into payment)

The only up front monies you should pay are the first payment, the MSDs, and the DMV costs.

Max 7 MSDs, that is true.

Get the exact selling price, and the exact adjusted CAP cost.
You are on your way to a good deal, especially if you can get them back to the base MF of .00188.
But, you need all of the numbers.
    .00188 MF and 60% residual
    $4000 lease credit (customer rebate)

MSDs will save you about $1000, over the life of the lease, once you factor in the return of those deposits at lease end. Since you obviously have the funds to make the deposits, it's a no-brainer.

    Hi there,

can i I please have the residual, MF and actual rebate on a new and an ex loaner 340i xdrive. 26501 is my zip, dealer is in virginia

    36 months, 12 k a year.

also any information on a broker in PA or WV? I’m getting increasingly frustrated with dealers marking things up including the rebates offered through BMW. SOS

There will be an adjustment to the residual based on the miles - how many does the car have on it?

No info on brokers - why would you need one if you found this site and are researching here?

I am just getting blocked with the numbers, either very high MFs or they calculate in a different way because I am expecting 500 a month with only fees + first month at signing, and I am being quoted upwards of 600. There’s 4k miles on the car, MSRP of 59400, sale price of 46300. I’m hitting walls on a lot of cars and I am starting to lose patience to be honest with you, it’s taking too much out of my day with my work. Is hiring a broker not as good as I think it is?
Are the numbers based on my ZIP code or the dealers? And btw I really do appreciate the work you do here, you have given me tons of information this past month.

You're just paying someone to do the negotiating for you … and, they aren't free.

With the prices given, I get a payment of $424/mo, plus tax, assuming all fees and such are paid up front.

Numbers are based on dealer location.

And, the math is the math. If you know what numbers the dealer is using to get their payment quote, you can figure out how to counter it.

Tell them you won't sign any deal if the MF is not the base rate.

Had an interesting communication with a Maryland BMW dealer this week. Clicked for a lease price on a 2018 3 Series with an MSRP of $54,549. The dealer website advertised the vehicle for $45,405. The website suggested this was before BMW cash. The website had "click for special price" of $44,905. This seemed interesting.

When I got the lease quote it seemed very high. I requested an received the quoted selling price. This was $49,949, which was simply the MSRP less the BMW lease cash and loyalty cash.

It would seem to me this dealer would have, at a minimum, included the advertised selling price as the capitalized cost.

That's typical when looking at dealership ads. The salespeople start you at the top, and you still have to work for a good price.

Actually, I got a clarification from my prior numbers. The $49,900 quoted was before reduction for the BMW lease cash and loyalty bonus.
