Here is the deal I’m getting on a 2018 Mazda3 Hatchback Grand Touring in Northern California. Lease is for 36/12, residual value is 52%, there is a 200.00 charge to bring the car from another dealer about 55miles away. The base MF is .00001.
If your money factor is indeed .00081, that is adding $30/mo, pre-tax to your payment.

Do they give you that money factor, or are you assuming

 The MF is not listed, do the numbers indicate it is 0.0000081 as opposed to the 0.0000100 set for January? I’ll try out a few lease calculators to check which one it is. Essentially is we normalize am I getting 81 as opposed to 100 or am I getting 810 versus 100?

Your numbers would indicate .00081, but the maximum markup to the base money factor is .00050, so that can't be correct.
Ask for the actual adjusted CAP cost, and see how it compares with what you've been given, so far.
The base MF is .00001, and you should insist on that.

Thank you. I’ll get the actual MF used. Re-running the calculations in excel I see that the MF used is indeed 0.00081 which is excessive. As you stated Mazda’s January MF is 0.00001. Adjusted cap cost is 24,216.76. Back to the dealer to insist on the 0.00001 MF.

Politely tell them you won't sign a deal unless they use the base MF - don't try to negotiate it.

Okay, the dealer was very accommodating and dropped the markup on the MF, it is 0.00001 now, we still apply the 1490.00 lease credit and get a residual value of 52% for a 2018 Mazda3 Hatchback GT lease of 36/12. Thank you so much for your help and review of the lease details.

53% is for 36/15; dealer may not be making the adjustment for 10K. The dealer is not allowed to modify the residual.

Subtract 3% from the residual for the GT hatch.

The GT is 53% residual for 36/10
