    Your best option is probably to ride out your current lease. It can be very expensive to get out of. You can't just break it, without severe penalties. Check with the dealer to see what they can give you on trade, and how far off that is from the lease payoff.

    There's some talk over at the Leasehackr forums that the $795 acquisition fee is not mandatory on the Compass and can be waived. Can anyone confirm?

    Chrysler Capital numbers:
    .00001 MF and 56% residual
    .00010 MF and 50% residual

    $2250 incentive

    The base acquisition fee on this vehicle is 4595. Jeep dealers can mark that up by $300.
    But, this month, in your region, the acquisition fee is waived on 24/36 month terms. (so, no acq.fee, no markup either).

    Generally...
    Dealers don't have a choice. If the acquisition fee is in effect, they have to charge it. And, if it's waived, they have to waive it.
    Some banks allow dealerships to waive the acquisition fee, in exchange for a big increase in the money factor. The only way that turns out to be advantageous to the customer is on short-term leases of fairly low-priced models.

    Thank you. Are you able to itemize the $2,250 in incentives? Do I qualify for the $1,000 "Conquest Lease to Retail/Lease" incentive? Autobytel is showing a bunch of incentives but I can't make heads or tails of what applies to leasing vs purchasing.
