Hi Michaell, thank you for your prompt response!

I went in to a local Jeep dealer last night and test drove a Latitude with a 30,025 MSRP. After the test drive, the dealer asked me what I wanted to know and so I asked for the adjusted cap cost, residual percentage, and money factor. They came back with $26942, 46%, and 0.00009 respectively. This results in a payment that is so wildly different than I was expecting that I was speachless. I ended up saying that I would have to leave and conduct more research on this model and thanked them for their time.

I thought the residual was a set percentage and non negotiable. Did they adjust these numbers somehow from their true value that you posted? Is there a different or less direct approach I should take to negotiating?

Also, what is your background and how are you able to obtain all of these numbers to help people?

36/12 numbers are .00018 MF and 48% residual from Chrysler Capital

If they came up with something different, it's possible they quoted a different bank.

It isn't a very good lease program, unless it comes with a huge discount from MSRP.
