I have no idea how to rank the trim levels.

R/T Plus Shaker has a MF of .00004 and a 24/10 residual of 67% - that's the best combo I see.

I am starting to shop, so i figure, lowest MF highest RV would generate the best deal,
this assumes the % msrp dealer discount is the same across the various trim models which is flawed, but its a starting point ...

Appreciate the quick response, I was using average msrp to rank the trim levels ...

I've never leased before and I'm trying to educate myself. I'm interested in a 2018 GT AWD in NY. Can you provide the residual and MF? The car I want is not available in stock and the dealer that I went to says that if I order the car that they can't lock in a lease price because it could change by the time the car arrives. Dealer says the MF and residual could change. To me, that leaves them too much wiggle room to play with the numbers. Do you know, is it true that you can't order a car and still lock in the price? Thanks.

If the dealer says that, it's likely to be true. That varies by make.

Find the car you want on a dealer's lot. Problem solved.

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you guys here! The information you provide helped me out tremendously! I'm now the proud owner....errr leasee of a 2018 RT!

The dealer really tried to fudge with the numbers, even the MF/residual quite a bit! Having this information definitely gave me a leverage and I totally called them out on it! They played dumb "oh....oh yeah I guess those are the numbers this month" but it also helped get us past the "bullsh#t" phase and actually get to business.

So once again, a big thank you! I'll be back here in less than 3yrs

But, with the numbers you have, this is likely an Ally or US Bank lease.
(high residual, high money factor)

This is what they gave us last night. Car sticker is $33,700. Lease cash of $4,500, With zero cap reduction:

36/10 $385- $405 Residual $19,924.30
39/10 $361- $381 Residual $19,924.30
48/10 $347- $367 Residual $17,898.10

It seems like the residuals are all too high. The payments seem higher than the MF would warrant. Variances given are "based on credit worthiness, with the low end being top tier". $1,000 down dropped payments about $30/month, $2,000 about $60/month.

They didn't even mention any other terms available and said MF and Residual were priviledged to upper management. Any comments??

"privileged"? That's rich. If they don't want to be transparent with the numbers, what else could they be hiding from you?

Ask them what bank they are using for their lease quotes - could be Ally or US Bank, neither of which we have available to us.

Having a hard time getting a dealer to give me a realistic number, let alone showing me the numbers. Best I've gotten is $899 with $3k down and $72,275 msrp. Math is a little off to me.
