    looks amazing. what's the MSRP of the car? the plat i'm looking at is 56.2k and i still owe $1743 on my current explorer. im wondering what to offer the dealer.

    A couple of things to note. The $5K of equity, if applied to the CAP cost, represents about $140/mo savings.

    Your $1700 of negative equity, on the other hand, will increase your payment by about $45-50/mo

    All things being equal, your payment will be almost $200/mo higher.

    You should wait until the negative equity goes away.

    Thank you. I know that Ford using an APR instead of a money factor, but can you explain the difference when I am trying to calculate a price for the car? When I go to calculate the interest I'll pay, am I using .0025 or would I do .25/2400 to get .00010? Want to make sure that when I go to the dealership tonight I have all my ducks in a row. Thanks in advance!

    Just curious how does lease cash work... Is it off the negotiated price or off the MSRP?  If I negotiate to 43500 and have 3500 lease cash, then I say "ok let's lease" does it knock off the 43500?

    There are different incentives for leasing vs. purchasing. The price you negotiate for a purchase will probably have incentives that won't apply to the lease program.
