which state are you in? are you looking at a gls? or se? either way, sounds like they are still fairly high on their price. i am a hyundai salesperson so i can tell you from experience, the azera se and gls have a bad tendency to sit on the lot for a long time, 5 months plus. Dealers have a hard time selling them unless it a Limited w/Ultimate Package. I would say that it is not uncommon to get a dealer to sell this vehicle for 1200 to 1600 back of invoice plus any applicable rebates. There is quite a bit of holdback and manufacturer support on this vehicle. We currently have 3 fully loaded limited's on the lot right now with a sticker of $30,430 on sale for 26k or so with the rebate

I am in Burlingame, California. Looked :surprise: at Camissas web site and they show no inventory for the Azera. I am going to be in the market in Mid October when my Audi lease is up. I am way over on the miles. Risidual is too high so it is unlikley I could end the lease early.

Would be interested in Limited with ultimate package, Xm full sized spare and all other options. Will be a cash buyer. If you are in my area, let me know.Am leaning towards Black with Beige interior but would consider other colors. Have not driven the Azera but like the Sonata. Have to assume it's just as good if not better.

i am in san diego. i recently did a search for black with the beige interior, extremely hard to find in california for some reason, and don't even try to find it with xm, almost impossible. There are actually very few Azera's on the market with XM as compared to non xm. Also, we are down to our last 4 Azera's right now and I don't think my GM wants to buy anymore until the 08's come in, afraid of getting stuck with an aged unit i guess.

Do you have any information as to the 08 intro dates and/or changes vs 07's? Thanks!

We just got a quote on an Azera SE for $22,422 +TTL rebate included, so that would be $23,422 before the rebate. I assume from looking at their site that the list price is $25,290.

The invoice price is $23,700, so based on your info of getting $1200 to $1600 off the invoice price I should be shooting for a price including $1000 rebate of $21,500-$21,100. Does that sound right?

This is from a dealer in the Dallas area. Thanks!

I guess I'll wait if I can't get one with Xm. Crazy as it may sound, thats the best thing I have ever bought. I would not be without it.Or maybe I'll buy something else if there is no inventory in October.

The $1,000 rebate expired 7/9. Any indications as to what new promotions might be offered?
  • setampsetamp Member Posts: 16
It appears they have extended the $1,000 promo to the end of the month. I was hoping they would sweeten the pot a little.
  • pastorspastors Member Posts: 29
They increased the Owner Loyalty to $1000 from $500 on the Azera.

New Azera Limited with Ultimate Package (includes new Package 25 with XM - this car was just received by dealership) in Steel Gray and Gray interior $28,500 less 7/10 dated rebate of $1000 less 7/10 dated loyalty of $1000 = $26,500 plus TTL. Pretty satisfied with deal. Would have liked a little more for my 2002 XG350L but I understand their low trade-in allowance. Glad I did not buy the Honda Accord I had been looking at and also glad the timing of the rebates came through the day before I bought.

    2008 or 2007? If 2008, what changes?
  • royaltyroyalty Member Posts: 27
2007. Sorry, I should have typed that in. This was my first post. My car dealer was O'Hare Hyundai. Salesman was Tony A.

I am glad I did a Google search and found this site as it gave me some additional guidance before visiting the dealer. While I am comfortable negotiating a car deal (my friends all ask me to go with them as they have no clue about pricing, the way car dealers work, the ins and outs of haggling, the patience needed to work a deal, etc.) I was not aware of some of the other info that was mentioned on this thread. To all who posted, a hearty THANK YOU!

I have also tried to get info on the 2008 model but to no avail. I think they are playing games to move out the remaining 2007s. It is not plausible that Hyundai USA doesn't know anything about the 2008 changes but they say they don't. Local dealers are clueless too...

I got an offer of 24k OTD for azera gls. Is it a good deal? Actually my friends and I are going to buy 2 sonatas & 1 azera. Should I push harder to get a lower quote?
  • pegasus17pegasus17 Member Posts: 536
To get an idea of what a bottom line price is for both cars, take a look at www.fitzmall.com and select their hyundai site. I think they have the lowest prices in the nation and are a no BS dealership. If they were closer, I would buy from them but for now I just use them as a price comparison tool. Their Azeras are about 4k under sticker but i was looking at limiteds, not the GLS. Good luck.

I went to Fitzgerald Hyundai in the Tampa Bay area. They had a low price on their Azera's on the lot but when I asked for a newer model with XM they wanted $1200 more and wouldn't budge. I matched their price easily at New Port Ritchie Hyundai and drove out with what we wanted that same day. So keep in mind at least at that dealer the posted prices are for whats on the lot only.
  • royaltyroyalty Member Posts: 27
    MSRP was 31,190.

THX. I think you got a fair deal but, more importantly, how do you like your new car?

Does anyone know if Hyundai is offering any sort of financing in addition to or instead of the rebates? My wife likes the MKZ which is now priced well with 0% financing. I prefer the Azera but current financing rates kill the deal. I am hoping Hyundai offers a submarket rate....
  • pastorspastors Member Posts: 29
    Setamp,

There are no special financing offers on the Azera however I wouldn't let that stop you from getting it.

I did a lot of research and I looked at, test drove and compared the MKZ (among many others) to the Azera and there is no comparison. (and what is with that optional Nickel Trim... yuk)

The MKZ is merely a Ford Fusion with a Lincoln emblem. IMO it is square, boxey and cheaply appointed. The only real advantage may be the Navigation system.

To even get the MKZ equipped near an Azera it would MSRP at $35K+ and that is without many of the extra features of the Azera like the folding outside mirrors, rear window power screen, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, not as many air bags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Checking Edmunds TCO the Azera has a lower depreciation cost rating than the MKZ.

Before TTL best deal on a loaded MKZ would be about $33K (without $1000 rebate) compared to the Azera at $26K (with $1000 rebate).

If you got 8% financing on the Azera (which I am sure that if you qualify for the 0% from FMC the dealer could get you a great rate) the total interest over 5 years would be about $6K. The Azera at $26K + $6K finance charge equals $32K versus $33K for the MKZ.

    Things I would do:

    1) Test Drive the MKZ and the Azera, even ask the dealer if you can borrow one over night or for a few hours (I got an Azera for a 4 hour test drive).

    2) Tell the Hyundai Dealer that you want the best finance rate as you are thinking about the 0% from FMC.

    3) Buy the Azera!

And just to add... I was born and raised in Detroit, lived there for 45 years and would never have considered anything other than GM or Ford. In fact my wife and I will be there this weekend and staying at a hotel in the heart of FORD Headquarters (Dearborn)... and I'm going to be pulling up in an Azera and PROUD of it.

A wise man once said, "If you can find a better car... Buy It!" so I did.

    Just my 2 cents...

Can you provide pricing details for shoppers like me. I assume your MSRP was about 31.1k?
  • pastorspastors Member Posts: 29
See my previous post #679 however to summarize:

Black on Gray - Option Pack 25
    MSRP: $31,190

    $26,831 (including $1500 in rebates) + TTL

Where are you located and what are you looking for?

One more question. I have been searching the net for all comparisons of the mkz and azera so I can sell my wife on the az. In one discussion, however, someone claimed the black seats are different from the others. According to this guy the black seats have less padding. This doesn't sound right to me. He claims he bought a car with black seats and ended up trading for beigh because the seats were better padded in beige.
  • jaymagicjaymagic Member Posts: 309
I have the black seats in a Bright Silver 07 Limited. Love them, very comfortable and the contrasting stitching really looks good.
  • pastorspastors Member Posts: 29
Mine has the gray interior and the one I had for a test drive had black seats. I do not recall any difference.

You can go to the Hyundai site or even here at Edmunds and do a side by side comparison of the Azera and MKZ.

If your wife is not the same height as you, she'll really enjoy the adjustable foot pedals and power tilt/telescopic steering wheel. Both of which are controlled by the memory buttons.

The other really big thing is the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) which is not offered on the MKZ or other Fords/Lincolns with FWD.

If you (or your wife) drive in snow or rain ESC is a HUGE advantage. It is a yaw sensing system developed by Benz to aid in FWD stability. Of course you could go with the AWD version which increases the MSRP and lowers the fuel economy.

If all things were identical between the Azera and MKZ except for the ESC I'd still have gone with the Azera just because of that feature.

With Electronic Stability Control and Second Row Side Airbag as standard features on the Azera what price do you put on Safety?

Congratulations from a fellow Richmonder. Now there are two of us riding around Richmond in an Azera.

I told you it would be worthwhile talking to them. Give me the details. what color? What type interior? I'll keep an eye out for you on the road. What part of town do you live?

My Azera is an 06 Limited Ultimate , pearl white exterior, beige interior, logoless front grill, 07 turn signal mirrors, shark fin at rear of roof, mud flaps and window sheilds over the 4 side windows. Biggest identifier - my licence plate is Z-REDSOX. If you see me, honk & let me know who you are. Hope to see you around town.

I paid 22,460 MRP $29,400 Invoive $26,960 :P limited w/ premium package but what's odd is I got the rear sunshade and surround sound but no tilt steering wheel and pedels and from what i've read no one had the fold in mirrors so I think I did good.

P.S. I did get the carpeted mats, sun roof, and cargo net thingy in the price. It was not listed separately in the breakdown so oh well.

The MKZ is far more than a Fusion with a Lincoln star. It has the 263 HP 3.5 engine standard, HID, cooled seats, THX II sound, Navigation and AWD available as options that are not available on the Azera. The MKZ interior has won Ward's Automotive best interior 2 years in a row. CNET's review states that the THX II stereo is the best factory system they have ever heard in an automobile at any price. The new SYNC system for 2008 will allow for bluetooth and MP3 connectivity like never before. The Azera and MKX are both nice vehicles with slightly different attributes. If you lease, the MKZ would be the clear financial winner due to the MKZ's higher residual and low lease money rate right now.

    Hi, zredsox -

Live on the west side. Sage Green with beige interior (wanted black interior but not available anywhere on East coast including ports). Let's keep an eye out for each other. BTW, you seem to have done a lot of customizing - tell me about logoless grill.

Thanks for the info. Best offer on the table for me is 1100 below invoice (27290 before the 1000 rebate) on a 30440 ultimate 4 pkg. I am not a hyundai owner so the add'l grand is not available. I am waiting until later in the month to try and get an additional 300-500 off. Enjoy your new ride!

I live in the far west end (Short Pump/Innsbrook/Godwin HS area. If you're interested, you can see pictures of my car, before and after the changes I've made. To do this, you would need to sign in and then go to the Photos caption at the top of the page. Click on it and in the search box, type in Don's 2006 Azera. On the next screen, choose my album. The pictures that come up are of my car before I began making changes to it. At the top of this page you will notice that I have two additional sub-albums; Zredsox's 2006 Azera and another one about replacing the mirrors. The Zredsox's 2006 Azera album has pictures of various changes I've made to the car including pictures of the logoless grill. It's a couple of pages long.

You can buy the grill for $99 at this website - www.dreamKa4u.com - Just follow the Hyundai Azera links.

Thanks to this community I was able to purchase a new Azera at a price I am happy with. I bought a Sage/Beige Limited 25 package with floor mats MSRP 31,190 for 26,640 after 1000 rebate (I didn't qualify for any other rebates). I received within $200 of the KBB trade-in value on my trade which was very fair as both front and rear bumpers need to be resprayed. I can highly recommend Washington Auto Mall in Washington, PA. What a great car.

I bought my Azera Limited 2 months ago from Car Pros in Seattle for 23K +TTL. The MSRP was 28K - NO XM. The black leather is awesome and so far I have no problems whatsoever with this beautiful car.I negotiated the price over the phone after I got a couple other offers from other dealerships in the area. The buying experience was superb! I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for Hyundai. I actually bought another one for a friend of mine and they again gave me the best deal. 5K bellow MSRP is pretty good deal and it should be feasible target for anyone looking to buy Azera.
  • oskidunker1oskidunker1 Member Posts: 213
I noticed that the 07 Sonatas are being given a $2,000 rebate. Any chance we might see that on the Azeras?
  • oskidunker1oskidunker1 Member Posts: 213
I live in San Francisco Bay Area. I wonder how feasable it would be to but from Car Pro's since it is out of state.
  • miroslavsmiroslavs Member Posts: 5
You should be able to get this price in your area. Before I bought the Azera I was looking to buy Accord. The best prices I found were in San Francisco area. Find all the dealers in your area and give them a call. Ask them for their best deal. Compare all of their answers and then you could call back and say that you are willing to pay 1K less than the best offer you got so far. I bought 4 cars for myself and friends of mine this way. I always got really sweet deal on the vehicles. Hyundai dealers are much more cooperative than Honda and Toyota. Another good thing for you is the fact that Hyundai doesn't sell many Azeras and every dealer is eager to sell you one. In my opinion you should aim at 4-5K bellow MSRP.
  • oskidunker1oskidunker1 Member Posts: 213
I have been pondering when I should start actively trying to buy the Azera. It would seem to me that with the 2008's coming out soon, now might be the time. Any opinions?I had hoped Hyundai would offer the same $2.000 rebate on the Azera that they are doing for the Sonata right now.

Have 2 more lease payments on my Audi but it's costing me .25 per mile as I am over the lease allowance.Am going to pay cash for the Azera ,but won't have the cash till mid October so I would have to do a short term loan to do it now.
  • dborthdborth Member Posts: 474
$0.25 per mile can add up quick. I leased my '07 last October, they had just arrived so I would guess the '08's will too.

You could consider leasing as I did and have your dealer pay off your remaining Audi payments and rolling it into the lease. Hyundai dealers have factory lease deals that aren't always published.
