Would be interested in Limited with ultimate package, Xm full sized spare and all other options. Will be a cash buyer. If you are in my area, let me know.Am leaning towards Black with Beige interior but would consider other colors. Have not driven the Azera but like the Sonata. Have to assume it's just as good if not better.
The invoice price is $23,700, so based on your info of getting $1200 to $1600 off the invoice price I should be shooting for a price including $1000 rebate of $21,500-$21,100. Does that sound right?
This is from a dealer in the Dallas area. Thanks!
Pastor Shaun
I am glad I did a Google search and found this site as it gave me some additional guidance before visiting the dealer. While I am comfortable negotiating a car deal (my friends all ask me to go with them as they have no clue about pricing, the way car dealers work, the ins and outs of haggling, the patience needed to work a deal, etc.) I was not aware of some of the other info that was mentioned on this thread. To all who posted, a hearty THANK YOU!
There are no special financing offers on the Azera however I wouldn't let that stop you from getting it.
I did a lot of research and I looked at, test drove and compared the MKZ (among many others) to the Azera and there is no comparison. (and what is with that optional Nickel Trim... yuk)
The MKZ is merely a Ford Fusion with a Lincoln emblem. IMO it is square, boxey and cheaply appointed. The only real advantage may be the Navigation system.
To even get the MKZ equipped near an Azera it would MSRP at $35K+ and that is without many of the extra features of the Azera like the folding outside mirrors, rear window power screen, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, not as many air bags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Checking Edmunds TCO the Azera has a lower depreciation cost rating than the MKZ.
Before TTL best deal on a loaded MKZ would be about $33K (without $1000 rebate) compared to the Azera at $26K (with $1000 rebate).
If you got 8% financing on the Azera (which I am sure that if you qualify for the 0% from FMC the dealer could get you a great rate) the total interest over 5 years would be about $6K. The Azera at $26K + $6K finance charge equals $32K versus $33K for the MKZ.
Things I would do:
1) Test Drive the MKZ and the Azera, even ask the dealer if you can borrow one over night or for a few hours (I got an Azera for a 4 hour test drive).
2) Tell the Hyundai Dealer that you want the best finance rate as you are thinking about the 0% from FMC.
3) Buy the Azera!
And just to add... I was born and raised in Detroit, lived there for 45 years and would never have considered anything other than GM or Ford. In fact my wife and I will be there this weekend and staying at a hotel in the heart of FORD Headquarters (Dearborn)... and I'm going to be pulling up in an Azera and PROUD of it.
A wise man once said, "If you can find a better car... Buy It!" so I did.
Just my 2 cents...

Black on Gray - Option Pack 25
MSRP: $31,190
$26,831 (including $1500 in rebates) + TTL
Where are you located and what are you looking for?
Pastor Shaun
You can go to the Hyundai site or even here at Edmunds and do a side by side comparison of the Azera and MKZ.
If your wife is not the same height as you, she'll really enjoy the adjustable foot pedals and power tilt/telescopic steering wheel. Both of which are controlled by the memory buttons.
The other really big thing is the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) which is not offered on the MKZ or other Fords/Lincolns with FWD.
If you (or your wife) drive in snow or rain ESC is a HUGE advantage. It is a yaw sensing system developed by Benz to aid in FWD stability. Of course you could go with the AWD version which increases the MSRP and lowers the fuel economy.
If all things were identical between the Azera and MKZ except for the ESC I'd still have gone with the Azera just because of that feature.
With Electronic Stability Control and Second Row Side Airbag as standard features on the Azera what price do you put on Safety?

Congratulations from a fellow Richmonder. Now there are two of us riding around Richmond in an Azera.
I told you it would be worthwhile talking to them. Give me the details. what color? What type interior? I'll keep an eye out for you on the road. What part of town do you live?
My Azera is an 06 Limited Ultimate , pearl white exterior, beige interior, logoless front grill, 07 turn signal mirrors, shark fin at rear of roof, mud flaps and window sheilds over the 4 side windows. Biggest identifier - my licence plate is Z-REDSOX. If you see me, honk & let me know who you are. Hope to see you around town.
P.S. I did get the carpeted mats, sun roof, and cargo net thingy in the price. It was not listed separately in the breakdown so oh well.
IF YOUR INTERESTED LOOK AT ALL POST BY ME FOR THE STORY.
Live on the west side. Sage Green with beige interior (wanted black interior but not available anywhere on East coast including ports). Let's keep an eye out for each other. BTW, you seem to have done a lot of customizing - tell me about logoless grill.

I live in the far west end (Short Pump/Innsbrook/Godwin HS area. If you're interested, you can see pictures of my car, before and after the changes I've made. To do this, you would need to sign in and then go to the Photos caption at the top of the page. Click on it and in the search box, type in Don's 2006 Azera. On the next screen, choose my album. The pictures that come up are of my car before I began making changes to it. At the top of this page you will notice that I have two additional sub-albums; Zredsox's 2006 Azera and another one about replacing the mirrors. The Zredsox's 2006 Azera album has pictures of various changes I've made to the car including pictures of the logoless grill. It's a couple of pages long.
You can buy the grill for $99 at this website - www.dreamKa4u.com - Just follow the Hyundai Azera links.
I like some things, dislike others.
I will post my likes/dislikes elsewhere as not sure if this is the place.
Have 2 more lease payments on my Audi but it's costing me .25 per mile as I am over the lease allowance.Am going to pay cash for the Azera ,but won't have the cash till mid October so I would have to do a short term loan to do it now.
You could consider leasing as I did and have your dealer pay off your remaining Audi payments and rolling it into the lease. Hyundai dealers have factory lease deals that aren't always published.
