The residual is fixed by the bank; no need to worry about that number.

MF can be bumped as much as .00040 for extra dealer profit; if the calculations lead you to believe that you aren't getting the base MF, tell them you won't sign a deal unless you get the base MF

The incentives are to the customer and will show up as down payment on the lease contract; unless I'm wrong and then they will be part of the discount from MSRP.

May I ask one more question? What would the payment range be on this lease based off the MSRP and the full incentive? Also the base MF I should be asking for is .00198 ? You should negotiate a discount off MSRP, before applying the incentive.

Yes, insist upon the base MF (don't quote the number; the dealer knows what it is).

I am working on the Selling Price and the thanks to the good folks on this website I am planning to request the MF of .00198 that should be appropriate for this vehicle.

No, the $2000 is all allocated to upfront charges, so the adjusted CAP cost is correct.
(in fact, the $2000 is $158 short of the amount needed upfront)

A dealership is telling me that they can no longer lease 2018 Stingers.  Telling me that “They are punched in the system.”  Any idea what that means?  Other dealerships are willing to lease these vehicles and there are of course lease incentives available.

It probably means they've marked them as "sold" to get some sort of purchase incentive, before it ran out. If that is the case, they probably can't lease them.

I don't remember if it was mentioned somewhere that you guys wanted feedback on the deals we got with our cars, but here I am.

I got the 2018 Stinger GT1 for 408.10 a month leased for 3 years 36k miles, and all I paid was the first month while there.  I traded in my previous Forte for only some equity above the remainder of the loan I had on it.

Hi. I’m new here so I hope I’m asking this correctly. Could I please get the MF and other key numbers for a 2018 Stinger GT2 AWD, 24 month/12,000 annual miles lease for ZIP Code 92103?

Here’s my tentative proposal from the dealer (see attached screenshot). I offered a $2,000 down payment.

I’m calculating a MF of .002480. (My credit score should be 780+.) The dealer told me the residual is 52%.

Right now I’m guessing this is a pretty good deal as is. Any tips on how/if to haggle on this or do you think this is about as low as I can reasonably expect? I don’t consider myself a strong haggler but I don’t want to be taken for a ride because of my ignorance, either. Nor do I want to be ignorant in the other direction and obstinate about getting some magically low number that isn't reasonable.

I’m still a newbie at leasing, and was thinking I should pay the fees & taxes & a down payment up front to not be paying finance charges on them, but I’m getting the impression that others prefer to capitalize everything. I’m open to suggestions or, if you like, point me to a “leasing for dummies” tips & tricks article.

I have a current Kia Forte5 lease from same dealer, so loyalty bonus is probably included in the incentives, but otherwise the current lease isn’t involved/traded in this Stinger proposal. My nine or so remaining payments come to about $1,000, so I’m thinking one possible negotiation point would be for them to take the Forte5 back and cover some or all of those payments.

P.S. I read somewhere that some people put down multiple security deposits to lower the MF. Thoughts? (It's something I'd never heard of.)

In CA, you should definitely pay the DMV fees and the upfront tax, along with the first payment at signing. All of those items are subject to tax if rolled in, when they wouldn't be, otherwise.

But, there is no point in making additional CAP cost reductions, or paying upfront, for items that are taxed in any event.
