I would start by trying to negotiate a better discount off MSRP. A handful of people have gotten $5,000 off the sportback, likely where there are a number of dealers competing. I would start negotiating there and hold firm at $3,000 off, which appears to be the average. They're in demand, but you still have some leverage. Check through past comments and find a few deals to back up your negotiations.

Premium Plus (subtract 3% for Prestige)
30/15: .00205 MF and 58% residual
36/15: .00205 MF and 55% residual
42/15: .00225 MF and 51% residual

None of the terms are very good, but I'd go with 36 months.

Yeah, that's perfectly vague.

How do you know it was involved in an accident? If so, I'd shoot for a bigger discount from sticker.

What is the selling price / cap cost associated with that quote?

I'd ask for the breakdown of the $4227 - could be some junk in there.

$398 is a dealer fee.
The AFS acquisition fee (bank fee) is $895.

S5: .00194 MF and 60% residual

I think Audi allows 9 MSDs, with each lowering the MF by .00005 for a total reduction of .00045.
That is 9 security deposits. Each equalling the payment, rounded up to the next $25 increment.
So, if your payment is $699/mo., that's 9 X $700/mo, or a $6300 deposit, refundable at lease end.

Single-payment leases reduce the MF by .00060.

Options and packages do not change the residual percentage, but the increased MSRP will increase the residual amount

May I be provided with the MF and RV for a 2018 Audi A5 Coupe Premium Plus in San Fran, CA? It would be for 36 months / 10k miles per year.

Below are some additional numbers, directly from the dealer…I have a feeling the money factor is being marked up but I’m not sure if the monthly payment also has other fees baked in or if the money factor being marked up is the only thing wrong here.

MSRP: 54290.00
Selling Price: 50030.00
Residual: 29859.50
MF: 00085
Monthly w/$2k down: 713.85
Down payment includes acquisition fee, 1st month payment, other fees

I think you can get more off the MSRP for starters.  The quotes I have received have ranged from 10% to 12% off MSRP in the Chicago area. I would first try to negotiate the price first. If they don’t budge then find another dealer. Dealers in the L.A. area are offering 12% off MSRP on coupes for existing inventory AND special orders.

Residual is fixed by the bank, and the dealer cannot alter it.

MF is marked up from .00045, however.

Tell them you want the base MF or you walk. Not like there aren't a bunch of Audi dealers in Southern California to choose from. Only takes one to meet your numbers.
