Ford Dealer: It is $25371.72 due to some of the rebate being used to make your payment, pay your tax on cap reduction, fees, and tags

Cory - 2) What was the APR used in the quote in the 36 and 39 month terms?

Ford Dealer: No APR as this is a lease. Money Factor is 1.0

(UMMM - MF is 1? That's 2400% interest no?)

Now what's interesting is that in my negotiations because I was making my final lease payment on my current lease (a Mustang) that they'd make the first payment on this EcoSport. But the manager's response (the salesperson is out until Thursday) makes no sense. He's saying that some of the rebate is being used to make my payment, pay tax on cap reduction, fees and tags.. In the State of Florida, we pay taxes on Cap reduction?

Went in this evening to see how they’re coming to their numbers and am being told that the manager that can get the Vincent file (thick Spanish accent but sure did sound like Vincent) wasn’t available so they couldn’t get me the breakdown.

I'll guess that's an on-line program they use for lease payments.
Seems like they'd have a hard time leasing vehicles without it.
