First time posting and really need help...

I was at a local dealer yesterday here in Sherman Oaks, California (91401). My current situation is, I'm in a 39 month lease on a QX60, with 4 months left, $457.98/mo ($1831.92), which they are absorbing. I want to get out of it before Sept 9, because my registration for the full year is due.

This is the deal they gave me, after multiple back and forth, including the final one from the finance manager who came by

2019 Infiniti QX50 Essential
39 month/10k miles
MSRP: 47,645
MF: 0.0004
Down Payment: $1596
Total savings 5,500
Selling Price: $42145
Monthly payments: $499 tax included

They even showed me the invoice price on what they bought the car for, which was around 44500, so they said they're losing roughly $2500 to make this deal happen.

What are your thoughts on the deal?

I was able to take a picture of the deal one before the last. The numbers I wrote on top are different, because I couldnt take a picture of the last deal sheet. I'm sharing so maybe you catch something that I haven't.

Also my last question, do you think I should wait for Labor day weekend? I always hear amazing deals happen at that time.

They aren't absorbing your payments, they are adding them to your deal.

That's why the Gross CAP is $2532 higher than the selling price.

Seems like you are stepping over dollars to pickup pennies.
Registration for another year is $400-$500, and yet, you are paying $1800 to get out of a lease.

Wait for three to four months, when the 2019 QX50 isn't the newest thing out there..

And, be assured, the dealer isn't selling their car at a $2500 loss...

I would wait until the current lease is up, and get a killer end of the year deal....

No incentives on the QX50, at the moment.

However, the longer you wait, the better the chances are of things improving.

I wanted to ask a question regarding MF and residual % that you guys keep posting. I tried to see if I can find an explanation for it on here, but couldn't find it. My apologies if it has been explained before. Can you explain what that means when we go to get our deals?

I was able to see on my deal sheet 0.0004 MF...but the residual was a dollar amount, not a percentage.

Do I tell them I want 55% residual value?

The residual percentage is what the bank uses to calculate the residual value, which is the number on the worksheet.

The dealer cannot alter this number, but you want to know the percentage, so you can confirm you are getting the right number of miles per year.

The residual value is the percentage of MSRP, the bottom line number of the window sticker.

NY taxes the sum of the payments, so the tax amount won't be $3600 - it's the $1600 that is part of your total price.

I get $601/mo with the MSRP and total prices listed. $590 looks good with $600-something due at signing.
