@AAlon I know why you're having a problem with the dealer worksheet in trying to arrive at the 382.64 payment. Leasehackr is of no use as it is not set up to handle Ally Bank leases. Ally uses an interest rate, not a money factor. I was able to compute the interest rate used in the lease worksheet. It is 1.4200% and is used to calculate the base payment of 346.91. Calculation of the interest rate does require a numerical methods procedure (Newton's Method of Successive Approximations) which can be done in EXCEL but, I'll spare you the details. The calculation of the payment is somewhat skewed. What Ally does, and most people don't know this, is that they discount the residual value one month nearer to the present. Basically, they compute the adjusted residual as follows...

24967.60 / (1 + .0142/12) = 24938.09

The adjusted residual is what they use to compute the base payment. Why is anyone's guess but it is unorthodox to do so. I suggest using EXCEL as follows...



Notice the 346.9085662 base payment. Rounded, it is 346.91. Your lease payment, including tax, is..
346.91 x 1.1030 = 382.64 as it appears that your sales tax rate is 10.30%.

Yup, I did see this on leasehackr. I'm hoping that another fund provider (Chrysler Capital?) has a much more favorable money factor and residual. Also, I think you can get that selling price down considerably as I think Chrysler Capital has 2,250 lease cash available.

Got the lease info for the Trailhawk Elite, msrp 44,585. Note it says amount due at signing 5250 but this includes manufacturer rebate of 2250, so it's effectively 3000 due. 

I'm having hard time reproducing the 382 figure in my calculations. It's always 20-30 less. Any idea what might be wrong / marked up here?

You can't get that $8750 rebate on a Chrysler Capital lease.

That looks like a very reasonable deal, relative to MSRP. Don't see you getting it to $300/mo

Hey guys, Looking for the RV and MF for a 2019 Cherokee Limited and the Latitude Plus with the 3.2L V6 and 4WD. Looking for this on the 36mo/12k per year and 36mo/15k per year. Location is New York, 12866.

I'm new to leasing, doing a lot of homework, and planning to lease in the summer with some 4th of July or Labor Day sales events. That being said, I just want to calculate what the interest rate, and from what I've seen I'll need the RV/MF for this right?

I'm catching a lot of good deals on the Cherokee right now, anywhere between 2-3k and 5k off MSRP. But I want to take my time and save some more cash beforehand. My goal is to get incentives that would cover most of the interest cost, which would presumably be about +/-$5k.

My plan is to have the $$$ for my 36mo payments at the time of the lease starting, then over the 36mo I'll be saving up for the RV at the end. Trying to keep the monthly low and RV a bit higher. Nothing less than 55%, maybe 60. Apparently this is negotiable? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Residuals aren't negotiable.
Current programs won't do you any good for this summer, as they change monthly.

Your plan is like taking out an 8 year loan to buy the car. That seems like a bad idea. If you can save up the money for 36 payments in the next six months, just get a loan and buy the vehicle.

Just an update. I was able to get a deal put together with a different dealer for $293/mo for a Cherokee Limited 4x4 with all the same options, but included Nav. Original one quoted with the above quote didnt have Nav.

Either way, able to get it done with the help of all the info and tips that I saw here. Thanks to all of you for providing information and assistance! Saved me from getting hosed …

Subtract 2% from residual for 15K/yr

Interesting. I got a quote yesterday from a dealer which gave 0.0009 MF and 57% residual. The incentive was also only $2750, is that because they were going through Ally for the financing?

It's a package deal, along with residuals and incentives. So, you have to look at the whole program. Generally, a CDJR dealer will use the bank's program that results in the lowest payment.
You can always ask them to run it through Chrysler Capital, and give you a quote based on that program.
