Check your contract and make sure it says 15K/yr..

It definitely says 15k per year. I didn’t question them on the residual amount because I actually didn’t realize when I had posted originally I asked for numbers on 12k not 15k so I thought the residual amount was correct. Any ideas how they were able to use a residual value for 12k on a 15k lease? 


No idea...it's possible that it will get kicked back, once the bank looks at it.


What should the residual percentage have been for a 36/15 on the Latitude Plus 4x4 in Oregon? Does getting the V6 vs the 4 cyl affect that at all? If they made an error using 58% when it should have been lower I will make them eat the difference if it gets kicked back. Thank you.

Above you said "OVR- .0016 and 57%". Normally you quote to 5 places. Is that .00016 per chance?
Also,do you know how it works when the dealer inflates the MF (even if it is within the allowed amount). Do they get a rebate or something else from the lender, for the difference? Thanks.

Correct.. .00016

Yes, the dealer gets a discounted upfront bonus, while the bank collects the extra money over the lease term.

For example, a .00042 markup might add $25/mo. X 36 months, or $900 over the life of the lease
The bank might pay the dealership 70% of that amount upfront.

With that and the .00070 MF and .6 RV on the Trailhawk I'm seeing monthly payment around $295/month with $0 down on a 3 / 36. Does this seem right? Also I messaged them about a lease with a sale price and they said "i'm not sure where your getting your information from but the online the Selling price reflects a purchase not a lease, but i'm willing to work out all the numbers & get you a great deal.". You are able to lease based on sale price vs MSRP, correct?

Hey Michaell! Wrong number in the MSRP! It's $38,145 not 28. And got ya. So maybe I should ask what their best price is for leasing? I've just had two different dealers (Jeep & Mazda) both say this now - that leasing is based on MSRP not a sales price. But I thought you lease based on the selling price of the car and RV is based on MSRP

Dealers are happy to confuse you about the mechanics of leasing. Yes, the RV is based on the MSRP, but the payment is based on the negotiated price, just like if you were financing.

And, I would agree that you likely won't be able to get $8K off sticker for a lease.

That makes sense, and I assumed they were just confusing things a bit. Understood about purchasing sometimes having more incentives than leasing so may be more expensive. I'll talk with them to see if we can clear some things up and get a quote!

Just keep asking questions until you are satisfied with the answers. Dealers are reluctant to be transparent on leases, as there are more ways for them to slip things into the deal to bolster their profit.

General question, not finding exact configuration I want on any dealer lots. It was mentioned to order as incentives only get better over time not worse. Is this accurate? I know the lease rate can vary greatly month to month but is it true incentives typically only increases (or stays the same)?

Incentives, money factor and residual are adjusted each month to achieve a certain payment. No historical trends to any of those numbers.

Grand Cherokee?

We don't have the 2019 numbers for that model.

For the regular Cherokee Overland FWD, the 36/12 numbers are .00012 and 55%; $2250 lease incentives
No supported 42 month numbers, this month.
