Hi. Do you have any information about incentives being different for loaner vehicles?
In our experience, if the car has under 5000 miles, then the incentives are the same. We did have one member in this discussion say that his incentives were $1000 lower, due to loaner status, but that's the first time it's come up.
Please provide numbers and incentives for s and x drive 36/12 for 85258. Both are loaners with approx 4,200 miles/each. Dealer is saying lease incentive is lower for loaner vehicle on the X2, but not an X1. Any insight?

..00182 and 58% Less $1050 for existing miles
Lease cash $3250 sDrive $3750 xDrive
We've had some reports about incentive modifications for loaner X2's, but we have nothing in writing to confirm that.
I definitely feel I could have done better after navigating around these forums &leaseHackrs (posted there)…But this is what I got. I tried using the site calculator but couldn’t get a consistent number on my itemized breakdown the final lease docs provided. (My monthly numbers came out higher) I just want to know how average my deal was… See attached
Background: was turning in a 2015 bmw 320 lease which finished with overage mileage , I think I should have just bought that out since the mileage fees were a bit much and seems the dealer can sell these cars at lower than the residual original contract terms dictate.
**2018 BMW x2 Series sDrive28i fully loaded with Convenience Package and Navigation Business

Hope to do better next time I guess..really just posting this to learn how to better do next time (if I lease again)

Consider this a learning experience.
MF was marked up the max allowed, before applying the MSDs. Net MF should have been .00147, not .00187.
Would have also counseled you to avoid the $4000+ cap reduction - while it makes the payment look nice and small, that up front money is at risk if the X2 is stolen or totaled during the lease. And, it doesn't change the overall cost of the lease.
But, you'll get the chance to make a much better deal in 3 years, when you come see us first before you start shopping.

Hi Michaell,
Thanks for you reply. I just want to clarify that I did not drop $4000.00 up front out of my pocket ...
I did minimum down payment of $1575 . Here is a breakdown of what I paid (and transferred):
$1575 (drive off fees which includes first month and registration dues) +$700 (this 700 bucks was added to my previous MSDs of $2450 to max 7 MSDS allowed of $3150 to lower my MF from .0222 to .0187) TOTAL DAS was a check written for $2,275.00
Does that make this deal a LITTLE bit better..? really just trying to gain some sense of dignity back that I halfingly knew what I was doing.. but I'm definitely not thrilled that they have basically held onto now $3150 of MSDs only to bring the MF down to what I'm now learning is the normal buy rate since they marked up the MF on me. the finance guy acted like there was nothing he could do to lower it, and only maxing my MSDs would do so. I also was concerned as you pointed out about what would happen if vehicle was totaled--and he said MSDs are fine and not lost..unless I'm hearing otherwise now?

He is correct on MSDs - those will be returned to you, no matter when (or how) the lease ends.
And yes, $2275 DAS is better than $4000.
It's a learning experience - I'm ashamed at some of the lease deals I signed when I was younger. The good news is that you'll be more prepared in 3 years when this lease is up.
@kyfdx also I noticed that my $1500 loyalty is not factored. Does it not qualify?
Loyalty on this model is $1000.
No, I don't see it anywhere in your deal.
But, we don't have the exact adjusted CAP cost. The $925 acquisition fee isn't listed, but I would assume it's in the upfront charges. But, if it is, then the $335 left over from that amount isn't enough to cover the CA DMV fees on a $45K MSRP vehicle.
I'd ask for the adjusted CAP cost. And, ask them to apply your $1000 loyalty. If you get another $1000, that's about $32/mo. less
With the numbers as they are given, the payment is correct.
Hi, can I have the MF/RV/Incentives for 2018 BMW X2 sDrive28i. It is a loaner/single owner w/ 2K mi. 90232. 36/10K & 36/7500K.
In the following formula from Edmund's, where does first month's payment get entered?
Is $375/month a good deal based on their print out? Any other negotiation I can do?
Also, I am a previous BMW customer, returning my lease, I was under 6K miles from the 30K cap. How much is this worth when I turn it in?
36/10 .00188 MF and 59% residual $3250 lease credit 7.5K/yr is not offered Less $500 on residual to account for current mileage
I don't know of any program where BMW will credit you with unused mileage. There is a $1000 loyalty credit, and your disposition fee is waived, if you lease another BMW.
From the payment number on your quote, it looks like they are marking up the money factor.
You don't enter the first payment on the calculator. The calculator input is to calculate the first payment for you. Beware of amounts that are pre-filled in by the calculator, as they may not be accurate (DMV fees, tax rate, money factor, etc)

Thank u for the info. They did mark-up the MF; they claim to be able to do that to get their profit, is that sales talk? In the end I got them to lower the payment to $350/mo and $2300 down for tax / title / reg / acq / doc and first month. How was that? I felt the process went too quickly for me to evaluate more options and shop the deal w/ other dealers, I felt I should've been more patient, but they snagged me, arrrgh! In the end I acted on 60/40 of information.

By the way, is Sonic Price negotiable?
Yes, a marked up MF is strictly to put money into the dealers pocket.
You should never feel rushed to make a deal or sign a contract; you control the process, not the dealer.
However, if you've signed for the car and taken delivery, congratulations! The fun of driving a BMW for three years will be around a lot longer than any regrets you have about the deal itself.
Consider this a lesson learned; we'll still be here in three years when you get ready to negotiate your next lease.

I don't know if the Sonic chain is one-price or not. We have some here in Denver, but I've never made a deal with one of them.

Did a deal on an '18 xDrive28i M Sport X, Premium, PDC w/ Parking Assistant
10K/36M (residual 59%) MSRP=47995 SellingPrice=40645 (a bit below invoice) MF=.00228 Incentives=2750 dealer, 1000 bmw loyalty, I'll get 500 rebate from BMWCCA. 499.99/mo
I paid tax up front as well as first payment, acquisition and doc fee.
Drive off was ~$3004 but I still have to register in my state so add 500 to that.
They wouldn't move on MF and this was the only '18 in our region in the exact spec we wanted. Overall I'm happy on the selling price. MF obviously sucks but I was stuck because I really didn't want to walk (always be willing to walk
Wanted a '19 but hard to deal on them and not many incentives/discounts and we needed the car. I think if you're very flexible on options, colors, etc you could do VERY well on a leftover '18 right now. We were quite specific on what we wanted (still didn't get CarPlay or the spoiler) but is what it is. We're very happy with our new X2.
Comments
We did have one member in this discussion say that his incentives were $1000 lower, due to loaner status, but that's the first time it's come up.

Beware of amounts that are pre-filled in by the calculator, as they may not be accurate (DMV fees, tax rate, money factor, etc)

By the way, is Sonic Price negotiable?
You should never feel rushed to make a deal or sign a contract; you control the process, not the dealer.
However, if you've signed for the car and taken delivery, congratulations! The fun of driving a BMW for three years will be around a lot longer than any regrets you have about the deal itself.
Consider this a lesson learned; we'll still be here in three years when you get ready to negotiate your next lease.

I think $350/mo is a good price for an X2.

I am looking for lease rates for a 2018 BMW X2 xDrive28i in Illinois. I would like to know the lease rates for 12k,/36 and 10k/36? What can I expect the lease credit to be and how much can I expect off the MSRP of the car. Also, I currently have a BMW, what would the loyalty credit be?
Thanks.
.00188 MF and 58% residual
$2750 lease credit
$1000 loyalty
We don't track pricing, but Edmunds does:

Just checking in to see if anything has changed for the following zip codes now that we are in February.
77382, 77450, 78249
Are there any new specials or incentives for Feb?
When do you think I could find the best deal on an 18 X2? Would it be this month before the new models come out in March?
Thank you for all of your help!
10K/36M (residual 59%)
MSRP=47995
SellingPrice=40645 (a bit below invoice)
MF=.00228
Incentives=2750 dealer, 1000 bmw loyalty, I'll get 500 rebate from BMWCCA.
