I am about to purchase the Lexus ES 350 within the next 2 days.....HELP!! The car includes the premium plus package with additions that include everything in the UL package except for the panorama glass roof and the NAV system. The MSRP is $38,672.00. Their bottom line figure is $35,900.00. Is this an okay deal? I was hoping for $35,500.00
I've started to see "December to Remember" ads on TV. Does any one know what kinds of deals that means? Will there be special lease or finance rates? Will there be significant discounts off MSRP on ES350's?
I'm in the market to buy one now but don't know what to expect.
Thank you for responding. I bought last Sat for $35,900.00. Couldn't get to $35,500, but I did get floor mats and a spoiler added in for free. It's hard to bargain for this vehicle because they aren't having any trouble selling them.
OK, hard bargaining does work.. be prepared to name other dealers and stock #/ deal you can get there. Best on east coast is Ray Catena in Jersey, but I couldnt drive there to trade in my Dodge.. bought from Raleigh-Durham instead. Got a premium pkg and a few other options, including 'gold' package ($580), MSRP 36.8k for 33.8k, or 3k off... pretty good deal. Doc fee $400, and $398 for 'Lexus certified inspection' on my trade in.
Drove to Myrtle Beach for the holiday, got 30 MPG!!! On 87 octane!! (Usually lose 10-15% mileage until break in @2-5k)
Great ride, very quiet, except some valvetrain noise 1st two minutes of warmup... cornering is not a strongpoint, but thats the tradeoff for an exceptionally nice ride (BMW and Acura have stiffer suspensions, but less ride comfort) Seats are excellent for comfort and support for long haul driving. Dealer wanted $600 for spoiler... It's small, so I passed. Best Wishes!!!
Robyn, Will you confirm your purchase of the ES-350 with Premium Plus package and Mark Levinson/Navigation system for $35,900? Your previous message indicated you were looking at a car with everything on the Ultra-Luxury package excluding the panoramic roof.
I bought an ES 350 with the premium plus package and everything in the UL package EXCEPT panoramic roof and the NAV system.....I did NOT get the NAV. I paid $35,900.00 and got a free spoiler and floor mats. They offered a 7.75% with Lexus financing at first but, I refused their rate and told them I would check other banks first. They quickly came back with a 6.2%. I checked two other institutions and the 6.2% was a good rate.
We recently (end of October) purchased an ES350 with the same options, color, and MSRP (41,522) for $37,500 +TTL. From doing research here I thought we made a fair deal. So, ~$36,500 seems to be an excellent deal.
Since I've benefited from information posted in this forum, I figured it's my time to return the favor.
I recently helped my Dad buy an ES 350 in the West Palm Beach area. Before traveling to Florida, I requested price quotes from dealers via e-mail for a "base" ES 350. This includes: premium package, Bluetooth, wood accents on steering wheel, rear seat side airbags, and preferred accessory package (trunk mat, cargo net, and wheel locks). MSRP is $36,242, invoice is $32,044. Below are the quotes I received (prices include car + dealer fees only):
Lexus of Palm Beach: 33,579 (invoice + 1,535) JM Lexus: no response Countyline Lexus: 34,490 (invoice + 2,446) Lexus of Kendall: 33,948 (invoice + 1,904) Lexus of Pembroke Pines: 33,987 (invoice + 1,943) Lexus of West Kendall: 34,674 (invoice + 2,747) Wilde Lexus of Sarasota: 33,448 (invoice + 1,404)
Since several people have raved about Wilde Lexus in Sarasota, I decided to ask them for a quote even though they're not in the area. When I arrived in Florida, I first called Wilde Lexus to see if they could improve their price quote at all. The salesman offered to eliminate their $490 dealer fee, bringing the price to invoice + $915. I then went to JM Lexus in Margate (which was swarming with people), the closest dealership to my Dad. With very little trouble, I convinced them to match Wilde's price (which saved us a 7 hour round-trip drive to Sarasota). The car hasn't arrived yet, but should be here in the next couple of weeks. Hope this information helps people shopping in south Florida.
You may include the dealership name, city and state in your post. Please do not post names of salespeople, telephone numbers, email addresses, or other contact information.
Hi, I got a lot info here so want share my buying experience. I live in NYC area, I bought ES 350 just one week ago, after hard barging and several dealers visiting, finally cut price to $37,125 with following option (before tax dmv lic. and processing fee):
NV : Lexus Premium Audio w/Navigation PT : Premium Plus Package HL : HID Headlamps w/Adaptive FrontLighting PA : Intuitive Parking Assist WU : Wood and Leather Steering Wheel FS : Full-Size Spare Tire BE : Rear seat side airbags
WF : All WTHR MATS Z1 : Wheel Locks, CargoNet and trunk mat Dealer told me, this price only $600 over invoice, so they didn't make much money. I'm not sure if this is true on not. any comment Also I purchased 7 year/100k mile bumper to bumper warranty, paid about $3000, the original warranty only cover 4 years ( bumper to bumper).
Sounds like an fantastic deal to me on the car. There was some other info I think in the main ES350 thread on the extended warranty which you may want to check out regarding pricing. Edit: Oops! That thread was on the other lexus forum.
It sounds like a good deal to me (at least I hope so). I got the same car and options for $37100. I didn't take the extended warranty. I bought it on 11/30 and picked it up 2 days later (Saturday). The invoice price (from Edmunds) shows $36,093 (without the Pref. Acc. Pkg (Trunk mat, Cargo Net, Wheel locks) and All Weather Mats - because Edmunds doesn't have that info).
If you add in the All weather mats ($99) and the Pref. Accessory pkg ($197) at retail price, the "invoice price" would be $36,389.
Recently talked to a dealer who is selling a 07 ES350 where Lexus bought it back as part of a voluntary recall. The transmission has been fixed or rebuilt and the car only has 3k miles on it. 1. Was this an actual recall/buyback offer when the cars were first being sold? 2. Would this be a good car to purchase since it's still under warranty? 3. Has anyone else seen these cars available for sale - and at what price?
We will purchase a new car for my wife, either ES350 or 2007 Acura TL, before year end. We will test-drive the two cars soon and mostly do the deal around Christmas. Questions for the ES:
1. For new owners, any more experience with the transmission? This is my main concern with the ES.
2. Has anybody recently done a deal in Dallas-Fort Worth area? DFW is traditionally a very competitive car market. So far, the best I heard from this forum is ~$500 over invoice in LA and east coast. I think whatever achievable elsewhere can be done here.
3. Anybody has actual sales figure for the ES350? In the North-Dallas surrounding areas, we can usually spot all kind of hot cars right after their release. But in the months since its release, I think I only spotted ES350 twice. I checked the website of two local Lexus dealers. Both have over 250 ES350 on lot. That is a lot of inventory. Even the traffic here is kind of slower compared to others. All these seem to indicate the ES350 isn't selling that well.
Just picked up ES 350 UL MSRP $44,012 for $38785 (+ Tax & Lic) From Lexus of Westminster. Absolutely love the car. Very pleasant internet buying experience.
This was an online purchase last month. I bought an '07 ES350 with Premium Package and Accessory Package (cargo cover, wheels locks, etc). I have almost 1,000 miles and no transmission problems so far. Love the car. Excellent ride! Only complaint is that the premium radio isn't very impressive.
From the post it seems people have been able to get the car at 600 over invoice stated by Edmunds. Some have posted name of Rockville dealership, what State?
Does anyone know of good deal / dealerships in Northern California?
Does anybody know if the annual Lexus December to Remember Sale generates the lowest prices all year? or is it just a special financing and leasing promotion? In other words, is the actual selling price of the car the lowest during this sale?
I wonder how it compares against prices a few months AFTER this sale due to depreciation, seasonality, etc.
To the person that bought from Rockville Centre N.Y..I'm sure you overpaid. No way are they the best on price. Not even close. If you want the best price in the 3 state area go to the #1 dealer for that area.PRESTIGE LEXUS RAMSEY N J
Just picked up a ES350 for $33,000 plus fees from Coliseum Lexus in Oakland. Just a little under $36,000 OTD.
We got the Premium package with these extras: lip spoiler, xm radio, rear side airbags, ventilated seats, bluetooth, fullsize spare, wood steering wheel, and the wheels, cargo net and floor/trunk mats.
Internet department was nice to deal with and the overall experience was pleasant.
That's a good price and I live nearby so I'll definelty check out that dealership. What is the msrp for that vehicle? Are the fees just the doc and taxes and license?
I bought ES350 at Lindsay Alexandria, I didn't negotiate hard enough as I needed the car rightaway. I got about $2550 below MSRP. May be they will do better in December.
Coliseum Lexus of Oakland is a good place--they were the only Bay Area dealer that was able to offer the best deal AND have one available for immediate sale (the others either couldn't quite match Oakland's offer and/or wouldn't have one available for a few weeks).
Thanks to many of your postings recently, I started my search for a "deal" on the standard "T" options equipped car with $37,900 MSRP and $33,787 Invoice. Carsdirect, Lexus Danvers and Watertown came in at Invoice+500. Lexus of Norwood started off at +500 and ended up at -200. I decided to lease with them as they did not fudge any lease numbers. Here are the final lease details:
MSRP 37,900 Price 33,600 Residual 59% (22,361) Money Factor .00245 36 months/12K miles per year Lease/mo $450 + Tax Out of pocket $600 Bank fee $195 Doc fee+$100 registry fee

I just paid $2,200 under MSRP for a car similar to what you described. Looks like you have a better deal...
