Test drove a 2018 230i M Sport Design car today and really liked it. I'm thinking I'd like to custom order one because most of the cars I see on lots are $48k and up. I think I can spec one the way I want it for $41-43k. If I were to custom order a 2019, what is the best time to do that? I'm thinking a November/December delivery would be when the best incentives on a 2019 would be in place? If that is true, I'm hearing you should plan 10-12 weeks for a custom order?

The alternative would be to see what kind of deal they would make on the 2018 I drove today (I think it was a demo car?). It had about $6-8k in options I wouldn't pick and don't really want to pay for. I suppose if they discounted it enough to lease out the same as a 2019 I would consider it...

I'd certainly try for a deal on a car in stock.
No way of knowing how the 2019 will lease. 12 weeks seems about right for an order.

The 2-Series doesn't lease that well, generally... but, if you can make a great deal on demo/service loaner, that might help a lot.

You weren't kidding, the lease terms are awful!  Turns out all of the cars I like are horrendous leases!  I guess it makes sense, enthusiast cars are probably low volume...

It was already reduced to 49, 991 by dealer discount. No incentives like loyalty added as far as I can see.
