    Test drove a 2018 230i M Sport Design car today and really liked it. I'm thinking I'd like to custom order one because most of the cars I see on lots are $48k and up. I think I can spec one the way I want it for $41-43k. If I were to custom order a 2019, what is the best time to do that? I'm thinking a November/December delivery would be when the best incentives on a 2019 would be in place? If that is true, I'm hearing you should plan 10-12 weeks for a custom order?

    The alternative would be to see what kind of deal they would make on the 2018 I drove today (I think it was a demo car?). It had about $6-8k in options I wouldn't pick and don't really want to pay for. I suppose if they discounted it enough to lease out the same as a 2019 I would consider it...

    Thanks for any advice. I've never ordered a car before and I'm trying to learn about that process...

    I'd certainly try for a deal on a car in stock.
    No way of knowing how the 2019 will lease. 12 weeks seems about right for an order.

    The 2-Series doesn't lease that well, generally... but, if you can make a great deal on demo/service loaner, that might help a lot.

    You weren't kidding, the lease terms are awful!  Turns out all of the cars I like are horrendous leases!  I guess it makes sense, enthusiast cars are probably low volume...

    BMW does not offer a 27 month term; add 3% for 30/10.

    How did this deal look? Id like to push for more if possible. . Supposed to be 7.75% tax.
    It was already reduced to 49, 991 by dealer discount. No incentives like loyalty added as far as I can see.

    The sale price is $47,095 on the document. How do you get $49,991?
    They are using 9.5% tax rate.
    $1005 total adds to CAP is $925 acquisition fee + $80 doc fee
    Total Upfront fees is $571, but I only see $390 in DMV fees listed (though, $571 seems like the right number)

    The payment calculation is correct, as given.

    $750 loyalty, if you qualify.

    That's a nice discount, but as you can see, the 2-Series does not lease well.

    Have you looked for a leftover 2018 model? $2500 rebate on that one.

    Oh sorry, I should clarify. On the car itself they had another little stickers that says "dealer discount" and they took off 2084 off the msrp. That's how I got 49991 initially.

    I don't mind 2018 vs 2019, in essence the same car. I'm just struggling to find the more base cars so I could get lower monthly payments.

    Is there any way to try to get a m2 2018 or 2019 at $450 a month including tax if the car has been on the lot for a long time?

    Hello,
    I do not have all the information but considering just the following do you think it is a decent deal (if a deal on an M240 can be decent at all)? I feel like I've reached the bottom with local So Cal dealers.

    2019 M240i
    MSRP 51,820
    2500 Loyalty
    No other Incentive
    Do not know the cap cost yet but not hard to figure out
    Zero drive offs zero down, sign and drive.
    .00182MF / 52% residual used
    $690 a month including 9.5% tax. Sounds like 17% off MSRP including the loyalty incentive.
    Please let me know. Thanks!

  • Hello Experts,

    Looking at 2019 BMW M240i xdrive in 55438, 12000 miles x 3 years lease

    MF = 0.00208
    Residual =52%

    MSRP 56500
    Negotiated to 54500
    Cash Down 3000
    Rebate 3500

    It comes to around $ 865 with lease protection option (around $1400) (bmw experts, is lease protection worth it btw)

    Hello Experts,

    Looking at 2019 BMW M240i xdrive in 55438, 12000 miles x 3 years lease

    MF = 0.00208
    Residual =52%

    MSRP 56500
    Negotiated to 54500
    Cash Down 3000
    Rebate 3500

    It comes to around $ 865 with lease protection option (around $1400) (bmw experts, is lease protection worth it btw)

    .00188 and 52%
    $3500 lease credit

    MF is marked up, and I'd think you can get a bigger discount from sticker, given the size of the incentive.

    Skip the lease protection

    Looking at an executive loaner 2018 M240i, MSRP $52,470, selling $39,970. Are MSDs still a thing I can max out at 7? What's the current MF and residual? What could 7 MSDs bring the MF to? I'd probably do a 10/36 Thanks so much!

    What ZIP?
    How many miles on the vehicle?

    Yes, 7 MSDs X .00005 reduction = .00035 total reduction of the MF.
