Just as a general question are money factors specific to a particular zip code or is it more by state or region? The Camry I asked about has a wide swing in the money factor. For my zipcode in Austin it is .00175 where as somewhere else the money factor for the same trim was .00066 and even the residual was higher. Thanks for your thoughts on how this all works.

The residual is national, but Toyota has about a dozen different regions where the MF and incentives can vary.

$80 (or $85) doc fee (it might have gone up in 2019)
$300 DMV (give or take)

If I add those to the selling price, I still only get $259/mo plus tax

9% tax takes me to $282/mo

Ask the dealer what CAP cost they are using for the $300/mo quote, and what was added to the selling price to get there.

My sales guy is coming up with 19520 residual for XSE at a MSRP of 36149, sale price of 31900. I'm coming up with 17226 at 54%. Am I looking at something wrong

Residual is applied against the MSRP - dealer is correct.

And, this is favorable to you as the depreciation is the difference between the selling price and the residual amount.
