    1) As noted, the MF is just one part of the equation. All makes are trying to get to a competitive lease payment, based on all four variables (money factor, residual, incentives and dealer discounts). 10 X the money factor only affects one variable. Might as well ask why the Acura residuals are 5% lower than Lexus. Or, why their incentives are $8500 higher.

    2) I don't know why the Eastern Region is showing zero lease cash. It is unusual enough, that I wonder if our sources are correct on this one variable.

    Our numbers are from LFS, and are the numbers you should insist the dealer use. Dealer, of course, will try to mark it up for extra profit.

    Typically, the split is about 70/30 for the dealer. But, that's only because the dealer gets their cut immediately, while the bank collects the extra revenue over the life of the lease.

    In effect, the dealer reaps the full benefit of the money factor markup.
