I just requested MF and residual for a RX350 FWD for zip 76132 and was given .00123 for MF and 58% for residual. Residual is fine, but all the money factors that I've been seeing on this forum range from .00040 - .00060. Is this something that I can negotiate and do you know why his money factor differs so much? Thanks.

Also, is anybody else being quoted a higher money factor, like over .00100? I'd like to know the reason 2 dealers have quoted me over .00100. I have not submitted any credit reports, and even if I had, my credit is excellent. So I'm not sure why the discrepancy in money factor and am wondering if anybody else has experienced this.

There is a simple explanation for the MF you are being quoted.

Greed - the dealer is marking up the MF for more profit. Simply tell them you aren't interested in signing any deal where that is the case.

Looking at the National Deal for the RXL 350 in 92610 area. Was quoted MF of .00031 and Residual of 56%. National deal has $2999 down for $399 (plus tax of 7.75% $430) a month and a $2000 lease cash incentive. When I put the $50,498 into a lease calculator with these numbers it doesn't add up. Lease calculators have it at as:
Monthly Lease Payment: $547.77
Monthly Depreciation $485.58
Monthly Interest $22.79
Monthly Tax $39.40
Money Factor Equivalent APR 0.74%
Upfront Payment $4,999.00
Total 36 Lease Payments $19,719.66

That deal doesn't disclose the dealer's discount or adjusted CAP cost. Without that information, you can't reverse engineer the payment. That is why your calculated payment is higher than the advertisement. You are assuming that MSRP is the same as the selling price, and that is definitely not the case.
