Looking to head in this weekend to lease an RX350. Pricing with the options we want, I expect to be looking at something with MSRP in the $53-$54K range. Anyone have a general rule of thumb as to what I should be setting as my discount goal. Does 7-10% sound about right? And does the $2000 Lexus cash affect that at all? Based on a few other sites, I was figuring trying to get to no higher than about $49,500 plus the $2000 to make it about $47,500.
Reasonable? (I'm in NJ if it makes any difference).

I have a deal lined up in South Florida, vehicle is on way to port and I was able to get an MSRP vehicle of $56,343 for $48,940 or 13.1% off MSRP . With acquisition fee and tags total of 49,890.

It's strange that the numbers they gave you don't match. Maybe, the numbers given you are not correct.

Pre-tax payment of $431/mo.
Approx adjusted CAP of $40,900 to get that payment (assuming my numbers)

$3000 upfront:
$470 1st payment
$520 DMV (est)
$85 doc fee
$795 acq.fee
$185 upfront tax on CAP reduction/acq.doc fee (est)
$945 CAP reduction

$40900 + $945 + $3000 rebate = $44,845 selling price.
That is only about 5.6% off MSRP. Maybe, they were including the $3000 rebate to get to 11.6% off?

Looks like an average deal.

I'd want to clear up the money factor and residual numbers
And, ask for the selling price before rebate, and the adjusted CAP cost.
