Hi there again. So I live in Dallas Texas and there are 3 main dealerships here. On a Tiguan SEL, MSRP is $33,230. They priced the car best deal at 28,280 plus $375 title, license plus 6.25 sales tax. When I put all that in a lease calculator at .00016 and 55% for 36 months, 10K miles, $1500 down cash, I come up with $285.89. 2 of the 3 dealers are trying to quote me almost 350 per month on that. They say my money factor is not right. Also, I have been told and see all the lease cash offers here and this does not even count lease cash. They act like they dont know about any lease cash. Can you check my figures and tell me about what is lease cash and how it is figured. Where am I going wrong. This lease calculator has always been spot on. See attached. VW dealers get different incentives for purchase vs. lease. Asking for a purchase quote, and assuming it is valid with the lease program is often wrong.

VW dealers will attempt to markup money factors. Just tell them you want the base rate, or you'll find another dealer.

All of the VW incentives are VW-to-dealer, so no, they may not acknowledge them.

The lease cash is a VW-to-dealer incentive. Any price they quote you will have already accounted for it (since it is their incentive).

$1150 dealer lease cash on the SEL

We don't track pricing, and I don't know if the Sign and Drive adds extra cost to the dealer, so can't tell you if your prices are good.

With the numbers given, the calculated payment appears to be appropriate. Obvious deal #2 is slightly better.

When negotiating, sometimes it helps to just play dumb about the numbers: "If you can do $350/month, we have a deal". And, see what happens. It's the last day of the month.

I also have a general question about incentives like the lease conquest. Is a rebate like the lease conquest just a term the dealers give to bring people in and they call it lease conquest when they are just using the lease cash incentive? Or..... is that a factory incentive that is separate from lease cash?
