    I just visited a dealer in so cal and the sales rep suggested leasing and then in couple of months I can refinance/payoff the lease. How does that work?

    You buy the car from the bank (Acura Finance). Just be aware that Acura Finance does not have to provide financing for you (and probably won't). You'll probably have to use another bank, unless you have cash.

    Chances are, you'll have to wait 90 days. Your car won't likely even be titled by the time your first payment is due.

    Then, it would be the NET CAP cost, minus the depreciation portion of the payments you've made. Plus sales tax

    Finance or re-finance, is just semantics. Any car that is only three months old should qualify for new car financing. Before embarking on this adventure, you should attempt to find out what sort of rate you can get from your bank.

    If I want to include dealer installed options like fog lights or remote starter, would these options be included into MSRP and proportionally increase residual? Or would those options only increase deprecation amount (which means I would have to pay full price for those options? Thank you!

    You have to pay full price for any dealer options.

    We advise against them.

    Here is a quote I’ve received. The first row is for 10K miles which is what I’m looking at. This is from a dealership in Columbus, GA. What do you think, and should I press more? I believe there's still some room left since this is the initial offer with no negotiation. They confirmed this was the base Acura MF.

    Thank you, sir. They are using .00225 as the MF, but should it be .00215? I'm titling in TN but this is a dealership in GA. Residual is at 55%.

    Here is what they have sent me - at $0 down, they are quoting $415.88 but it seems high. Am I missing something?

    .00225 is the MF for new customers, or those who do not make a single security deposit.

    $400+/mo is a lot of payment for a car with a $30K MSRP, IMO

    .00215 and 55% (.00225 if you are not a returning Acura customer or don't pay a single security deposit)
    $4370 dealer incentive

    $0 down and $0 due at signing are not the same thing - you can roll everything into the monthly payment and have absolutely $0 due at signing. In CA, we recommend you pay the first payment and DMV costs at signing.

    Ask them to run the numbers with only $500 out of pocket, and see where they end up.

    Correct, dealer incentives do not have to be disclosed. Now that you know about them, use the knowledge to negotiate your best price.
