Can I please have the numbers for a CX-5 GT AWD and GTR, 30 and 36 month terms @ 12k miles and any incentives that might be available for 11772.

I stopped into a dealership today before learning about all of the actual numbers that go into a lease. They mentioned that right now the best numbers exist at 30 months which seemed like an odd term to me. I got quoted 365 per month for the GT AWD with 0 down (aside from first month payment and DMV fees). They started at 450 and dropped it a lot with little effort. Just trying to figure out a realistic number to shoot for.

I think we were reading off the wrong lines

30/12: .00175 MF and 68%/65% residual for GT/GTR
36/12: .00160 MF and 61%/58% residual for GT/GTR

Lease cash
GT: $710
GTR: $360.

If you amortize your fixed costs (roll in acquisition fee, etc), you'll probably find that the payments are similar, and might be slightly better for the 36 month term.

Thank you Michael - unfortunately I may not be in the country more than 2 years so don't have the flexibility to take on a longer lease. One question for you, is the residual value % something an individual dealer can use as a lever in pricing? I just started receiving quotes and was given a MF 0.255 and Residual of 70% for a 24/10 lease, which is higher than the residual value when I asked here for those terms a couple of weeks ago.

Residual is set by the bank, and the dealer can not alter it.

I don't know the chances. But, if the money factor drops, it's likely the residual will drop, as well.

Lease payments could be lower, but they might not.
