    Hi friends, leasing newbie here, is the attached a good deal? Based on earlier replies, the MF isn't marked up, but how is everything else? Thanks!!

    I wouldn't start any lease with over $7500 out of my pocket.

    In CA, we recommend just the first payment and the DMV costs; skip the cap reduction, and add the taxable fees to the selling price.

    If you're using the $5750 to make the payment palatable, you're just fooling yourself. It doesn't change the total cost of the lease, and, if the car is stolen or totaled, you don't get that money back.

    Audi's do not generally lease well, for what it's worth.

    Other than that, I don't see much wrong with the quote.

    Thanks Michaell! Indeed, the cap reduction was a means to reduce the monthly payments, but you're right, the total cost of the lease is the same.

    If you have a particular payment in mind, you should shop lower priced vehicles.

    Good point! Of the German luxury makers, Audi, BMW and Mercedes, which one leases the best in your opinion? I didn't realize Audi's don't lease well.

    For SUVs, either MB or BMW would be a better choice.
