Can you tell me what you think of this offer? Its for a 2019 Honda CRV EX AWD in zip code 60538.

MSRP: 29,845
Amt due at signing: 1948.22 with a 1000 rebate so I would have to put down 948.22 which includes first month payment, 251.00 title fees, 179.81 doc fee. I do not know where they are getting the extra 241.36‬ from.

Gross cap cost: 27,755.29
Cap cost reduction: 1241.36
Adj cap cost: 26,513.93
Residual value: 17,608.55
Depreciation and any amortized amounts: 8,905.38
Rent Charge: 1,032.42
Total base payments 9,937.80
Monthly payment: 276.05

It says the agreed upon value of the car is 26,280 which I said I wanted to be 25,280 and they agreed but they told me that the 1,000 off were the rebate in the cap cost reduction so I would not see the number 25,280 in the paperwork. Is this right?
I was also told by the sales man the residual value would be based on the negotiated price but then the finance guy said it would be based on the MSRP.

Not a stellar deal but the best I could get, I had best deals at Chicago and St Louis for 25,300 & 25,000 sale price respectively. But I am from Omaha, NE and had to travel 6 hours to these cities. I emailed many dealers in Mid West region - Omaha, Chicago, St Louis & Minneapolis. Finally got this at Omaha itself which just had 3 dealers and could not get more aggressive like Chicago deal. So had to take. This is after conquest 500 dollar rebate for EX model AWD. Dealer has 499 worth accessories added which he was adamant not to remove.

I agree with that math; it assumes that taxes and fees are paid up front.

We don't know how low you can get the selling price; negotiate with multiple dealers to see how low they will go.
