Max markup is .00040 (.00217 MF)

It is possible to tell them you want the base rate (they know what it is), or you'll shop another dealer.

They would have to mark up the MF to .003412 in order to get to an $820 payment according to my calculations. The monthly rate should be somewhere around $660.44 with that kind of money down. Honestly, it doesn't sound like they are raising the MF that high. It sounds like they are just pocketing the $5000 down payment and pretending like you didn't give that to them. Just doing that brings the monthly to just under $820 a month even with the .00177 MF.

Don't put anything down and insist on the Base/Buy rate or go to another dealer. $880 a month with $5K down would be more like what a true M3 lease payment might look like instead of a 340i.

Yes, subtract .00035 for the MSDs - unless the dealer marked up the MF to .00212 before applying them.

Tell them you won't sign any deal until you get the base MF, then subtract the MSD discount.

Thanks so much for your input- dealer revised mf to .00142. Thinking the monthly lease figure would be significantly less, I upgraded the build with $900 more in options.
Here are the new figures.

So, $6697 seems about right.
