Hi Mods,

2 dealers in my area (TX, Zip Code 75204) are insisting that the MF for January is .00177 instead of the previously reported .00138... They're also both insisting that the one pay lease reduces this to only .00147. This is for a M340i, RWD and 36 months/12k

Can you guys confirm if they're right or of i'm getting fleeced?

$612 monthly is my lease this include end of lease protection purchase

Pretty good deal, except for $53/mo to insure end of lease charges. $1900 is a lot to pay for $5000 of insurance.

The base MF is .00137.
The maximum markup allowed is .00040.
I'll let you do that math.

The single pay MF discount is just .00030. Definitely not worth it.
MSD option would be better, as you can knock .00035 off the MF.

But, you should insist on the base MF, first.

For some reason, a one time lease payment in Texas reduces the sales tax (which is charged on the full selling price) from 6.25% to 1%.

Any thoughts on if this makes the one time lease worth it? I'm negotiating for a selling price around 57k for a MSRP of 63860.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with a single-pay lease. Many captive finance companies offer TX tax credits from time to time. It's possible that this dealer is restricting it to single-pay leases (though, we haven't heard that before).

It is a big savings, but keep in mind that the money isn't coming out of the dealer's pocket. Don't give it back to them, by making a bad deal.

last question... dealer in Texas (my zip code 75204, dealer's zip 76107) is adamant (and showing me some printouts) saying the lease cash for 2020 BMW M340i is $1000 and not $4500 as reported by the mods on a previous post.... He's saying the $4500 is only for cash purchases...

Any idea @mods? I really like this car.

We had some bad information from our supplier, early last week. Didn't straighten out until Thursday afternoon

Hi. So the car is $64,210 MSRP but is a loaner with 3,500 miles. What sort of discount would one expect? It’s not still considered new at that point, right?

The discount being offered is in line for a brand new one but seems like the mileage would lower the price.

Current state of negotiations, close to pulling the trigger on the M340i. MSRP of $63,860.00. Sale price so far $57,360.00, MF of .00137 and 60% residual for 36/12k. Works out to $647 a month with $3847.75 down ($3500 is Texas sales tax sadly).

Thoughts? Thinking maybe the sales price has some more wiggle room?

I've never paid markup on MF before. I don't suppose there is any valid reason why I should now? Credit is 750+.
