    Hi-

Can someone please advise if this is a good offer:

    2020 330i xDrive MSPORT

    MSRP $52,395 (incl destination charge)
    Selling Price: $46,640
    Incentives: $1,750
    MSD $3,150 (max)
    Lease 36 mo/10k
Drive Off: $3,795 (1st months, upfront fees, upfront taxes) (not including MSD)
    Residual 59%
    Monthly $437

    What do you think?

    New Jersey (07079)
Counter with $450/mo and only $1500 out of pocket (excluding MSDs) and see what they say.
To clarify $450/month $1500 out of pocket (1st month, upfront fees, and upfront taxes) and then the MSD of $3150?

    Per above:
The upfront taxes are $1335 alone.
Upfront fee: $2024 (acquisition fee- $925, dealer fee- $599, government fee- $500)

Thanks in advance for all your assistance!
Following up on the above question.
    Thanks
What is the government fee? Registration and title?
    Michaell-

Government Fees ($500): Non-taxable fees, such as license, registration, and other governmental fees.

    Thanks

Also there is this program available to me that says they will double the factory incentives. Would this be calculated as a rebate, or just the official rebate and then the "double" half counts as normal negotiated price reduction? https://www.bramanbmwwpb.com/BMW-School-District-Employee-Saving-Program/

I'll guess that is no savings at all.

They give you the BMW incentives
Then, they give you a matching dealer discount, that will adjust the discount you would have negotiated anyway.

    Playing with numbers.

Here is the initial offer on a m340i 36/10. I am not sure if they are using the base mf...but I asked them to. How does it look?

My lease was up on May 30th, when I contacted BMWFS they asked if I'd like to extend the lease I said sure, I was able to extend for 2.5 months for half of my original payments. Now, fast forward 2.5 months., when I contact my dealer to purchase I wanted to order an M340i. OF course, I knew they would want me to take one in stock. I told them what I wanted.

    M340i
    C3Z Tanzanite Blue II metallic
    KCSW Black SensaTec
    1PV 19" M Double-spoke cerium grey
wheels, style 792M w/high perf. non runflat
    4KC Fine-wood trim ash grey-brown highgloss
    ZDA Driving Assistance Package
    ZPP Premium Package
    2VF Adaptive M Suspension
    1CR Remote Engine Start
    MSRP + $60,000

I knew they would do ANYTHING to get me NOT to order this car.... They offered me the Following....

    C31 Portimao Blue Metallic
    MAOI Leather 'Vernasca' Oyster decor
    stitching (BK)
    1PV 19" M Double-spoke cerium grey
wheels, style 792M w/high perf. non runflat
    ZPP Premium Package
    1CR Remote Engine Start
    ZPX Executive Package
    4UR Ambient Lighting
    6NW Wireless Charging

    MSRP = $61.300 + 995 + $62,295

The dealer was playing the, You can have THIS car now instead of waiting 6-8 weeks, but I told the dealer, I want the C3Z color, (if you haven't seen this color in person in the light it is AMAZING...).

I had contacted BMWFS to see what they could do in regards to waving the return fee, and they were willing to do that if I took delivery of a car in the dealer stock, (Got this in writing) I was also over my miles (by 250 miles) and they would wave that fee too (got that in writing) Was approved for the car (before final price by the dealer)

It took 3 days for the dealer to give me the deal I wanted, here is my breakdown

    MSRP $62,295
    Selling price $55,500
Cap fees $615 (No Acquisition fee BMWFS waived it)
    Rebates and
Incentives - $3750 (loyalty, New Grad, lease credit)
    Net Cap -----------------
    Cost $ 52,365,00

    MF 0.00099
    Residual 59%

    RV $36,754.05
    Lease Term 36m 12K/Year

    Monthly Tax 8.5% $44.36
    Monthly Depreciation $433.64
    Monthly Fiance charge $88.23
    -----------------------------
    Total $566.22

The total cost of the lease $20,384.04

I think I got an amazing deal When I went to the dealer with my 2017 330i the SA told me right off the bat the deal would change, I asked how he explained that they have to roll the return fee and other items into the lease, then I showed him the email I got from BMWFS as well as my approval code. I was out of the dealership in 1 hour, that was the time limit I gave them. Since BMWFS had all my information and approved me all the dealer needed to do was just plug in the numbers and I was out in 45 minutes.

Moral of the story, contact BMWFS before setting foot in the dealership..... Get your financing taken care before the dealer has a chance of play with numbers. There are amazing deals out there.

I'm very happy with this car it is everything and more, I have ordered a BMS Stage 1 for an extra 40hp I had this setup on my 330i and was amazed how easy and how much power I got.

Notice that the heading on the second page says "purchase option" - those prices aren't valid when you lease.

To get that payment, the adjusted cap cost is right around $55,350. The sum of the "capped" items on page one is $1154.50, and there is a $925 acquisition fee - I don't see it referenced anywhere, but I'm guessing that it's capped as well, as the upfront charges are laid out.

Backing out those capped fees from the cap cost leaves a selling price of $53,270.

There is $1000 lease credit, $2000 loyalty and $1000 college grad - I'll guess those are your $4000 in incentives. Therefore, the dealer discount from MSRP is $3375.

There is a lot of supposition in my comments, but I'm guessing that's pretty close. I think you can get the dealer to drop the price another $1000-1500, and save $30-45/mo on the payment.

The dealer said the acquisition is capped. The rebates are 1000 lease cash and 1000 conquest with doubled with "corporate agreement" which means they are really taking off with the discount before rebates. Also they seem not willing to budge from a MF of .00139. I've only lease Audi's before and never had a problem of getting base rate. They also said that the car only has a markup of 6.5%, so I think the negotiating may be fizzling out.

I'd keep shopping dealers until I found one willing to give the base MF.

My calculations above were assuming the base MF of .00099. All my assumptions go out the window if the MF is marked up.

It's a customer incentive. You are entitled to it, and will be used as a down payment.

Read my post, go out to BMW's website and apply for credit, BMWFS will tell you what you qualify for as far as MF. Once you have been approved the ball is in your court not the dealers. Fiance is one place the dealers can make money.

Before signing any paperwork educate yourself on leasing to make sure it is right for you. DO NOT get into an Owners Choice or BMW Select contract. Edmunds has great info on leasing, I would also check out Bimmerfest or other BMW forums there is a wealth of information out there.

    Yeah $1500 DAS.

Haven't gotten other dealers to get close to this even with lower MSRPs. Looks like inventory is drying up in my area.

Lack of production, uptick in sales = low inventory.

    Congrats!

    Is it a good deal?
I'm negotiating a lease on a new 2020 330i M Sport with other packages that bring it to an MSRP (incl destination) of $53,670. Lease term would be 36 mo/10K miles. The dealer has offered 5% off MSRP plus $2,750 in "rebates" and seems willing to go to .00099 MF. Residual 59%. So I'm looking at a negotiated price of $48,236.
    1. Is this a good deal?
    2. Is acquisition negotiable typically?
    3. They are calculating a monthly lease payment of $663, which I'm having trouble calculating using your formula. I'm getting something more like $576 (fees of $1,275; cap cost $49, 500)

Read my post, go out to BMW's website and apply for credit, BMWFS will tell you what you qualify for as far as MF. Once you have been approved the ball is in your court not the dealers. Fiance is one place the dealers can make money.
Apply for credit means apply for financing? If I have bmw in lease should I do it again right?

    What is your ZIP code?

What cap cost is the dealer using?

I went over to my local BMW dealer today to test drive a 2020 330i in Alpine White with appx 4400 miles. The dealer quoted me the following for MF: .00139 and RV: 58%

    MSRP: 45,940
    MF: .00139
    RV: 58%
    Discount: $6043 included $1750 incentives
    Adj Price: $39, 897
    Options: $99 Nitrogen tire fill
    $149 Wheel Locks
    $186 Trunk Liner
Also included at zero charge - All weather mats, windows tinted, paint protection level 1
    Total purchase - $40,331
    Dealer Admin - $699
    Tax - 8.28
    Non-Tax Fee - 1146.25
    Net Price - $42,184.53
    Down Payment of $3K
    Total Monthly Payment - $430

Dealer would not let me take the lease sheet or even take a photo of lease sheet. I pressed him a little on the MF, as I was just provided MF through Edmunds yesterday at .00099 but he just chuckled and mentioned that's how they make a little money.

Can anyone provide some tips/feedback for my next discussions with dealer? I'm looking to get the monthly payment to $400 or below and would like to minimize out of pocket down payment. Any help is appreciated. I do have the spec sheet from the dealer on the vehicle, if anyone is curious to view.

You'll pay tax on the entire selling price, in Texas.

    Where to begin?
    1. MF marked up max allowed (base MF is .00099); tell them you want the base rate, or you'll shop elsewhere
    2. Puny discount - you want to target 15-18% off MSRP before applying the incentives
    3. The dealer admin fee and nitrogen take back $800 of the small discount
    4. Don't start any lease with $3000 out of pocket; just first payment and DMV costs

Lots of work to make this quote reasonable.

Might want to consider shopping multiple dealers.
