    Hey,

Looking for a little advice on this. I am looking at a 2020 BMW 3 Series 330i xDrive AWD.

    MSRP: 53,145
Dealer is asking $42,524 (Not to lease but to purchase)

There is nearly 5,000 (4,800 area) and has been sitting on the lot for nearly 180 days.

I'm looking to lease the car at 36 months, 12,000 miles. I feel like asking for the $42,524 is not that far fetched. Am I wrong? What should I be targeting in this case?

    Appreciate any help!

You can start at that price for a lease (20% discount) and see what the dealer says.

At a minimum, you want 15-18% off MSRP due to the mileage.
    Thank you!

One more thing, are there other percentage goals to be targeting for similar cars based on milage? I'm assuming there is no standard to this but, instead I'm just trying to confirm that offers that I submit are not already unobtainable by going to low or not low enough:

    5,000 - 4,000 Miles: 18% - 15% off MSRP
    4,000 - 3,000 Miles: 15% - 12% off MSRP
    3,000 - 2,000 Miles: 12% - 9% off MSRP
    2,000 - 1,000 Miles: 9% - 6% off MSRP
Under 1,000 Miles: 6% Off MSRP

Thoughts? Thanks again for all the help.
15%-18% off on any loaner 1000-4999 miles.
Thanks for all the advice! Really do appreciate all of it!

I decided to visit the dealer today and test drive the car. Love it. I presented my offer to them and naturally, they didn't accept it. I was not surprised. If there is anything I have learned from this process, is that they accept the base figures (money factor & residual) however, they disagree on selling price of the vehicle.

    They outlined:
    MSRP: 53,145
    Adjusted Price: 45,269

That's only 14.82% off of the MSRP and apparently that includes the rebate of $1,750. They aren't moving any lower as of right now. Shouldn't I be targeting the 15% - 18% off the MSRP before the rebates? Just looking for clarification. Should I just wait until Tuesday for the updated monthly rebates?

Thanks again everyone for all the assistance!
Yeah, if the rebate was an additional discount, you'd be almost there. Can't tell you what will happen on Tuesday

Did you get a good deal? Be sure to come back and share!

Thank you! I went to one dealership yesterday where they quoted me .00128 MF (verbal) and RV @ 56%. I felt like these were the bare minimums and I wasn’t getting a good deal.

Same scenario happened to me over the weekend. I’ve had to haggle a little and I’m waiting for a reasonable deal. This is my second lease (first BMW) so I’m a little new to this.

Received a revised quote today. Still working on getting a discount off the MSRP before incentives. I'm located in MA. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2020 BMW 330i xDrive
    MSRP: $45,130
    Monthly Payment: $ 480.60
    Drive-Off Amount: $4,150
    Months: 36
    Annual Mileage: 10K
    MF: .00064 (knocked down from .00099 with 7 MSD @ $3500)
    Residual: 59%/$26,626.70
    Incentives: Savings = $2632.00 / Rebate = $1750.00
    Cap Cost: $40,748
    Region: Northeast (MA)

Here is a revised quote. This is for the convenience package only. I'm holding off on getting something with the convenience and driver assistance packages. This still looks a little on the higher side. My net trade-in went from $400 to -$243.76. Not trying to roll negative equity into a lease when I know it's in the positive, or I should at least break even. Should I focus on the Cap Cost or the discount off MSRP before incentives? I'm also active on the Leasehackr forums.

With these two quotes, you should focus on the payment, relative to MSRP. Are these quotes from the same dealer? Because they are wildly different.

For sure, but I'm still a little confused by his quote. He only listed the stock #/not the VIN and I don't see it listed on their website/inventory. He's been trying to push loaner cars HARD.

Where did you get the market value?

I'd take it to a CarMax and see what buy offer they give you.

Leases are rarely structured to provide equity.

Only way to improve on that deal is to negotiate a lower selling price.

Camry's do no hold value, go look on line at all the 2018 Camry's for sale, they range from 17-20K used at dealers., Be ready to fork over some money if you want to get rid of the car.,
