If the car has an "allowance credit" of $2,000 on their website and on Edmunds I found out there is a "dealer lease cash" of $1,225, then can I use both of these discounts in my negotiation? I'm new at this and want to make sure my offer sounds reasonable.

In other words, I'm asking for 20% off MSRP, then I'm discounting both those incentives. Can I do that?

Forget the discount for a moment.

Using the base MF of .00001, I get a pre-tax payment of $479/mo, compared to their $539.49/mo

I'll guess there is a huge MF markup baked into that quote. Insist on the base MF.

A week or so ago I asked about MF and RV for a P250 SE in 06903 on a 36/15k. Response was .00001 and 55%.

Dealer is telling me MF is .00031.

Why is there a difference? Can I negotiate MF down or am I stuck with what they say it is? (Another nearby dealer told me “the bank sets the rate” as if there was nothing they could do about it when giving me an MF of .00071).

Dealer is marking up the MF for extra profit (typical with LR dealers, sadly).

Tell them you want the base rate, or you'll walk
