I would really love this palisade limited but I'm being told the best they can do on a lease is a .00195 MF with a residual of 57% That puts a payment of $729 with $2000 down (which seems high to me?) If it depreciates THAT much, I don't think I want to do a purchase either... Can someone who has leased a limited tell me if this seems like a high payment for a 36/15K lease or does it seem right on? We are in CA and there don't appear to be add ons or dealer mark ups... Thanks in advance. They are selling really quick and I also don't want to miss the color combo I like if it really is about right on payment.

The vehicle is popular, and they are marking up the money factor the maximum.
Plus, any vehicle that sells for near MSRP is going to have a really high payment.

I'd pick a different vehicle.

The difference in the programs is fairly small, and the MSRP different likely means the SEL will lease slightly better than the Limited.

Thanks to you I didn't lose with a higher MF. After much negotiation on price was concluded, the manager at the dealer was trying to give me .00188 MF (which I had to ask for since the numbers didn't add up to me). I told him to double check because I knew it was supposed to be .00161. Needless to say he apologized and gave me the real MF of .00161.
Happy to say I got my Palisade SEL FWD with Premium, Convenience, and Sunroof package for $476/mo pre tax with $0 down and just paying inception fees upfront in South Florida. Maybe not the best deal, but it was the best I could get at this time in my region. Really loving my new Palisade.

LTD: .00190 MF and 50% residual. $1250 lease cash

1) Your driving needs could change, but you are locked into a lease for an extra year.
2) More maintenance, plus the chance of needing long term consumables in that extra 10K miles (tires, brakes, etc)
3) Car could prove to be unreliable, and you are stuck with for an extra year.

Dealer says they are applying a RV of 63% and MF of 0.00165 (I know they should be 59% and 0.00155 instead) but I want to verify their calculation. Not sure how to respond - the dealer cannot, under any circumstances, alter the residual value (up or down).

If they submit the contract with the wrong residual, the bank will reject it and you'll have to start over.

Using the correct values of .00155 and 59% against those prices, I get $757/mo

Sorry, that, to me, is an awful big payment for a $46K SUV.

Lack of discounting, plus full sales tax, kill the lease deal.

When you see the deal on a lease contract, it will become very clear, very quickly, that they are wrong about the residual.
