In Seattle and getting offered 50,990 and a cap cost of 46,648.

Moderators, what are the current incentives for Seattle and portland on a 2020 X3 3.0 lease? MF should be .00180 and residual 56% on a 10k lease?

The rebates should be able to lower the car under invoice, correct?

    Got the following offer:,
    MSRP: $46,735
    Sale price: $40735 (12.8%)
    Rebate: $2000
    Doc fee: $100 (random number?)
Non tax-fees: $659 (Registration and title?)
    Tax: $1,443
Total payment: $622 (includes taxes, I hope).
My calculation for total monthly payment, for same numbers above, come as $578 with MF=0.00158.
There is a difference of total of $4000 what dealer calculates as payment (from MF=0.00118)?!? They have given me $6,000 discount only to take back $4,000 through their math. Amazing!

The MF hike won't claw back quite that much.

What number are you using for the adjusted cap cost? What number is the dealer using?

Using nothing more than the MSRP and sale price, the pre-tax payment difference between .00118 and .00158 is $26/mo, or just over $900 for the lease term.

Even your math, with a $44/mo difference, works out to just under $1600.

I think your calculator needs new batteries.

Good one! My calculator is fine. When I asked them about adjusted cap cost they said it is $42,484 but it should be $39,660 ($38375+925 AQ fee). That is $2,844 more plus $913 for MF difference it turns out $3,757. That is where approx. $4,000 difference coming from. Almost every dealer (except two) was giving me these kind of fake numbers, where adjusted cap cost was way higher then $925 AQ fee on top of sale price and rebates. Thank you for your help so far.

What is your ZIP code? There may be more than just the AQ fee being added to the sale price, in legit fees and taxes. Ask the dealer for a breakdown of the difference between the selling price and the cap cost.

My ZIP code is 48103. But dealer is in Chicago area. And I asked dealer about breakdown, waiting for their answer.

    1) It's possible that the dealer's quote already accounts for the $2000 rebate

    2) If you live in MI, you pay MI sales tax (6% on each payment). The dealer's quote looks like IL sales tax.

I'd ask for a screenshot of the deal from the computer. That should clear up a lot.

What is a reasonable percentage off MSRP you should expect in negotiating a lease?

    X30s 36/12 MF, residual. 33189

    Thank you

I got an offer for a new BMW xDrive 30i. My zip code is 98005.
    MSRP: 45635
    Sales Price: 44813.08 = 44333.08 + 295 (all weather mats) + 185 (wheel locks)
    Sales Tax: 4615.75
    Rebates: 2000
    MF: 0.00118
    RV: 56%
    Documentation Fee: 150
    Registration Fee: 750

The lease options they provided for 36 months:
Cash due | Monthly Pay (after tax)
    3000 | 626
    5000 | 566

Based on my initial calculation, I don't think monthly payments are right numbers. I feel like either they didn't use 0.00118 MF as promised or they used a different adjusted cap cost. Are there any thoughts regarding this calculation?

Meanwhile, they also added wheel locks and all weather mats in the sales price. They were fine to drop weather mats but they refused to drop wheel locks. Which part can I expect more reduction?

    Thanks!

You should have just stopped, when they offered you less than 2% off MSRP. That's pitiful. Shop other dealers.

Thanks for your reply. I have the same feeling. How much MSRP off can I look forward normally?
